Best kit that looks like a real cigarette

I'm not sure whether to go with a disposable, or with the two-part ecig. I want something that looks like a regular cigarette. Maybe everyone starts that way?

I've heard that people switch to the three-part, more bulky looking, but I don't know. I'm looking to buy a kit and am in Canada (Vancouver), and want something that works, manual (button) is fine. Thanks.

Thank you. That looks good. Hard to decide, should I get the pro kit with all the accessories, or from what I'm reading, this kit will just be for a few weeks before wanting/needing to upgrade to something else. At six analogs a day, how many cartomizers should I order? Best if I order it all at once.

i used a "cigalike" for 2 months and kicked the habit.
i smoked about 10 cigarettes a day for 10 years. before i figured out what an e-cig was.

I got start on those and I had six batteries and it still didn't take me long to go to something (ego style battery) with a better battery life. Sorry just being honest. They were to heavy to feel like a real cigarette. I think that is what I liked about the egos. Totally different from a cigarette. I realize there are people who love them and it works for them. So it is just what you want. Good luck to you and I hope you find whatever it takes to rock your world. Just have fun with it. That the most important part. But the best part is all the wonderful people you will meet on ecf. Lots of wonderful folks.

I'm with you. I went with the G6 from Halo. Great price for the starter kit and it's miles better than the disposables. Looks good, available in some pretty slick colors, works very well for a cigalike and I have been very happy with it so far. halos juices are also very good. I like their stuff so much I ordered a Triton kit from them too. Now I use the larger Triton at home and the G6 when I amout and about or at work.

I started on a blu because they are the smallest, lightest, most cigarette like vape I could find. Once I got into vaping I kept moving up and buying bigger and more powerful batteries. If you are coming off cigs unless there is something new out, blus are the smallest most cig like out there. Yes the battery kinda sucks and the vape is not as good as the big boys, but you can't start at something that isn't comfortable. I have been vaping for almost a year and I went from blus to 380mah manuals (short blus are about 90 mah), to ego, to evod (kanger ego with short protection), to spinners (variable voltage), to a real mod (SVD and MVP) and I am very happy. I am now rebuilding my coils and personalizing my set ups. But regardless of what anyone else says if you are just coming off cigs and want this to work, try a blu or something just as small, they most closely mimic the size and feel of cigs.

Trust me this grows into something way better than cig smoking.

They have a reputation (and deservedly so) for being bad at delivering much nicotine, needing constant charging and costing a small fortune.

Basically, they are rubbish. They serve as as introduction to vaping. There are thousands of people who have tried them, failed to find them a satisfactory alternative and have just gone straight back to smoking.

HOWEVER, on 6 a day, they might just work. Try one..

Halo, Volt or something else. V2 are just an excuse to take people's money as far as I can tell. $40 for a battery we can buy elsewhere for $12.

When I started vaping 4.5 years ago, we only had cigalikes. They were fine. Most people start with cigalikes and many upgrade later. Many don't.

GranolaGirl, in the vaping world, there are two most common connections--KR808 and 510, the 510 being the most popular and most widely used. However, most cigalikes are KR808D-1, like Volt, Bloog, G6 etc. They are all pretty much the same--shop for the best price you can find in Canada.

If you think that you may want to someday upgrade to a larger battery, you may consider getting a couple of 510 Joyetech batteries, a charger and some nice cartos (Boge, Smoktech) and/or mini clearomizers (Vision Nano and Kanger T4 are both good).

I feel ya. I have spent I don't even know anymore getting to where I am now. If someone starts a cigalike, I would want them to learn to refill and not rely on store bought cartos, they suck. My blus got way better when I bought some boge cartos and refilled them myself.

Thanks everyone. Very good advice. My main goal is to kick the habit, or at least not be so invasive with the smell and the butts. I'll probably start with a smaller kit then, and depending on how things go, can crank up to a better setup, or kick it altogether. Thanks again.

So, bit the bullet so to speak, and went to a B&M nearby and got the Joye eRoll and a couple of bottles of 18mg ejuice (one tobacco-flavoured, one vanilla). We'll see how it goes. Thanks for all the advice. It helped that I was able to get some advice (here and elsewhere) to walk in and know what I wanted. I think I'll order my next ejuice from Crave, I like that they have 100% organic ejuice.

Now I'm trying to convince my brother to try this. He does 0% nicotine with Smoke NV but spends $5/day for disposable cartridges, which is half what he paid for a pack a day, but still too expensive I think. He says he still smokes one analog per day. He's in another city, so I don't know. For him, it's not so important for it to be cig-like, so I may research other options.

I really like the people on this forum, very helpful and respectful.

The Type A atomizers tend to get a burnt taste frequently, but can be rebuilt easily. Several active threads on that topic ...

Also, Joytech makes a cool case for the eRoll PCC that holds a second eRoll while the other is charging, and protect the PCC cover from scratches, LitecigUSA has it ...

I was thinking the savings would be higher somehow, though I guess if I buy bigger bottles the price does go down. And it's still less than half the cost of a pack here in Canada.

Just a rough guess but I figure 2 mils of e juice is about equal to a half a pack of analogs
