Hey everyone!

So I have been getting into rebuildables...wow what a dangerous addiction! I have a few Aga T2's, Igo-L's (tasting all my juices for the first time!) I typically use a Tesla VV/VW, but the other day I bought one of the Kamry K100's from my friend for like 20 bucks and now I want something better... Before the safety police chime in, I have creeped all the forums and have done my homework on all the safety precautions! I have a vape safe fuse in this thing, and use only the AW IMR's, the lowest ohm coil I have wrapped was 1.0 ohm. At this point I don't understand all the hype with the sub ohm coils...(it just made my juice burn really quick, and then taste burnt) BUT that is a whole other thread....

I just want to hear some suggestions for a good Mech mod to replace this ugly k100 ASAP! Obviously looks aren't everything, but I have come a long way from toting around an ego twist with a big ugly clearo on it, and I am not gonna lie... I feel pretty cool about having my first mech mod, and I do want something that looks good. Not overly flashy or odd shaped, just simple with SS or a brass finish.

I have my eyes on the new smok Magneto, and have heard pretty good things about it. I live in UT and would like to go pick one up from electronicstix, however just wanted to hear some other opinions first, maybe there is something way better out there! The magnet switch seems classy...but I have no idea if it does anything for you in terms of performance...Either way, let me have it!

Your favorite/best mech's under $100.00!

Thanks!

Maybe the drawtube smart v3. Dont hear much about them but i recently picked one up from constant vapor for fifty bucks and its a fantastic ss telescopic. I put a thread up a few minutes ago with some pics. Nothing flashy just a solid built ss tele with all brass connections and firing mechanism. Can be set up in top or bottom side firing configurations

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion! I will look into those!
But feel free to keep the suggestions coming, I know brass contacts are good, anything else to look for?
I also forgot to mention I have a ton of the AW IMR 18350 batteries so if there is a particular one that would be good with that size feel free to let me know.

I'd say increase your budget by 50 bucks... 100 is the area where you start to get into higher end mechanicals. If your budget is already 100, I say just go for the extra bang. I've used cheaper mechanicals, and I've used high end, and I'll tell you, you know where the extra money goes when you use it. It's your game, I'm just speaking from experience. :)

Well I bought the Magneto...probably because I was just obsessing about it for too long and if I am being honest was going to get it all along... BUT I would be lying through my teeth if I said it was going to be my one and only mech....so the suggestions are appreciated! What exactly am I missing about the $150 + models? I mean these devices are so simple, build quality, and the right material for the contacts, these are the determining factors that I see making a difference in terms of quality, but what else am I missing? I checked out the Nzonic when I was there as well, but what makes it 4 times the cost of this Magneto? It sure felt like it was a quality piece, build quality was great, nice smooth button, etc....but really it is a tube, connectors, and a spring/button....At least as far as I see it.

Obviously I don't know as much as you folks, so I am not trying to argue, just want to be educated!

Secondly, what is the process for cleaning the contacts? May sound stupid, just do not want to mess anything up! Although I would imagine it just takes wiping them down with a paper towel or something...any other mech maintenance tips appreciated!

The battery is a very important part of any mod, good batteries make or break some very expensive ones lol. AW IMR all the way, dont go cheap on your power source. (my opinion of course)

As far as polishing, brasso is cheap and performs as such, its an abrasive and scratches polished surfaces. I prefer Mothers mag and Aluminum polish, its great! needs a very small amount, a small jar will last you a LONG time.

Thanks for the heads up! I knew I would be in love with mech's after I got my first clone and actually spent a good amount getting a good charger and 4 of each AW IMR's (18350, 18490, and 18650's) It was definitely the most boring $140.00 that I have spent, but I figured I would just suck it up and get it over with lol

Nice choice - I'm really enjoying my magneto! I don't know if it's the best performing mod under $100 but it sure has to be one of the best looking - especially with an 18500 in it.

The EHPro EA clone is the best performing mech you're gonna find for that price.

yup i have the ea mod and i got the clone for a friend and it actually performs better -- have to be careful of the button and center pin nothing major but hey it is a clone -- i do recommend it

as far as quality... fit and finish, the puresmoker product is hard to beat... I couldn't find any appreciable differences between theirs and a $200+ Precise plus..............................

I have 4 Vaprlife mods.. and they are all about 1/2 price now.

they are my favs... waiting for his new release.
