Thinking when this pretty chrome SB arrives I might have to invest in a "mainstream" tank that doesn't look so ghetto..

Thing is, I am currently in Kansas City for the holidays and will be leaving here in a week and half, then spending 4 or 5 days in Chicago, then in NY, and then finally returning to Boston around the third week of January.

Vapers Corner is in Kansas City. Cignot is in Chicago.

Does anyone know if these VC5's are a 510 model? That is, does anyone know if they would be expected to work with my current 510 charger and cartos/atties that I got from Liberty flights? they say "batteries for the 510, but from my view they look more like an 808? Manual VC5 Batteries

On the page I linked to (before you click on one of the specific colors) it says in the description "Manual - Battery for the 510." However, I agree, they look like 808 batts to me as well...

BUT...

These look like they might 510's to me: VCT Batteries

Apparently this vendor doesn't really have a store, rather they distribute to local gas stations, tobacco stores, etc. Therefore, whoever I may be purchasing from is unlikely to know much about this hardware. So I ask:
1) do these appear to be 510 batts? and
2) if I bring one of my broken batts with me and this vendor's batt appears to be the same, and I bring my 510 charger/cartos with me and everything threads properly, is it then safe for me to assume that these are rebranded 510 batts that are safe to use with my current charger and cartos?

Also, I don't which on of you guys (or gals) is making moves in the background trying to help me out here, but I really appreciate it. I received a PM from another ECF member who I've never even interacted with trying to help me out with my situation, and you guys (and gals) really are the best

I bought one of the Vmod XL's just to see what all the hype was about and it was delivered 2 days ago.I gotta tell you I was really impressed with the flavor and vapor this thing puts out.I think this was the best $56 I ever spent on a mod once the 25% off coupon was subtracted from the total.Do yourself a favor and take a good look at this thing,I wish it would have been my first mod instead of all the junk I got.

That is a 510 ego style battery. I would think you can use all your 510 gear with that battery.

jordan, agree with Scott that those are 510's. Have you investigated any local options? I think you can do better price wise.

Hey Kat, other than the little disposable Njoys and whatnot that are starting to pop-up at gas stations etc, these guys are the only local supplier that I know of.

I agree that $20 isn't the best price in the world, but it's not so outlandish that I would hate myself for buying it, especially with my current situation

One 510 batt usually can get me through the day, so I will probably just grab one to hold me over until my Vmod and/or batts from LF come in.

I too suggest the silver bullet i have a mantis as well. The mantis is a great mod but as everyone else has said you cant go wrong with a silver bullet. I love the mantis just as much as the silver bullet but it can be difficult catching them on the site they are always sold out. Black mantis Ecig MOD at cigtechs.

So just an update for those of you following my ongoing saga

Yesterday I received a pm from Brian, co-owner of Vapage. Another ECFer had contacted him about my situation (thank you whoever that was!), my search for a new pv, my decision to purchase a Vmod XL, and then the subsequent stock-out when I went to purchase. Brian said that he had been informed of my situation, and may be able to help me out, telling me to contact him the next day (today) if I was interested.

Today, I went and checked out a Vapors Corner vendor and the batt was a match. Cost me $20 which is a bit more than I would have liked to have paid, but now I am vaping again!! Hooray!!!

I went home and called Bryan and had a very pleasant conversation. Brian was extremely nice, and we talked for about thirty or forty minutes trading vaping war stories, vaping preferences, discussing battery/attie combos, and whatnot. Brian informed me that he had another XL that he could sell me; in fact, I think it was his own personal XL that he was keeping as a backup! Brian personally took my order, made sure that all of the discounts were applied and I was sorted out correctly, and told me to call him if I ever had any issues or questions. The entire process was extremely pleasant, and I never felt pressured to purchase extra accessories, batteries, etc.

So now I have a Vmod XL kit on the way, plus 4 extra atties (2@1.5ohm and 2@2.5ohm) on the way that should be here tomorrow, all for just a little over $83!! Now all is left to do is order some 5v and 3.7v batteries, and wait for my new goodies to arrive!!

Thanks for all the help and feedback everybody. I really appreciate it, this community is so amazing! I will let everyone know what I think when everything arrives in few days!!

It's not that remote - I had a thermal runaway once. Not nice.
