There's no 'best' anything friend.. End of the day it's what suits you best and your personal preference .. Too many factors like coil wick battery juice and availability .. One man's meat is another's poison.
Dun take reviewer claim on best cloud! Best flavor! .. They use high PG, so got massive cloud .

The 4Nine is a mechanical mod not a pen mod. The amount of power generated is dependent on the resistance of the coil. The lower the resistance, the more amperage is drawn from the battery, more heat is generated which dependent on other factors like the wicking etc should create more vapor.
What gauge wire and how many wraps are you using? What battery are you using? Do you have an ohm meter to check the resistance of your coil?

Hi bro. Maybe I can help. Need more details though.

Like sonicbomb stated, 4nine is a mechanical mod. So battery safety is very important. How low you can build is very dependent on the battery. Do not 'save money' on the battery. Make sure to get one that is capable to handle high drainage. A good start can be the Samsung 25r. If you have a higher budget a Sony vtc5 is best. Do learn the basics of ohms law if you haven't. This is VERY important.

Next issue is the guage of the wire you are using. The waiting time to heat up is attributed to the guage of wire you are using. The thicker the wire, the longer the warm up. Same goes with dual coil. This is because more current has to pass through the wire for it to heat up all the metal.

And here's a list of things you SHOULD already have before you even have a mech mod.
Good batteries, a good charger (nitecore), ohm meter (to measure your coil and also the voltage of battery before and after you use). All this for your own safety. I'd rather you smoke then lose a finger. Heh.

Vape safe and have fun. Try high vg juice for more vapor. Pg is for the flavour and throat hit.

LG HG4 is really not bad, do recommend.

Yours take awhile to ramp up probably because your wire too thick. What gauge are you using? Thicker gauge = longer ramp up.

For 18350 mod, I usually build 1 ohm and up, usually 1.3ohm.

For 18650 mode, I build lowest 0.5. Depends on your mod, some mods can't take low ohms due to button wear or hot button.

Using 26g, 6wrap dual coil at around 0.5ohm gives me lots of cloud and flavor. Cloud very dependent on your atty too. You want clouds, get a mutation or Kennedy. Flavor stick with small ones like derringer and marquis.

Good luck building man. Learn about battery safety, very important. Good batteries are Samsung 25r (blue), Sony VTC5(green), LG HE2 (red) or LG HG2(brown).

i bought it 2nd hand so i do not know what model of 4nine is it.. its the one with the magnetic push

Should be v1. I've an authentic v1 myself. As the switch have to rub against the inner wall of the tube to close contact, its matter of time it wear out and start arcing. I won't suggest using 0.3 ohm for this mod. I'm using AW18350.
