I started with a girlie-looking tackle box and it wasn't good for me digging in it to find stuff. Hubby hung a medicine cabinet for my juices after I saw the idea on ECF. Favorites on top shelf, etc. Bought it on eBay. The nic in your liquid will 'tan' quickly if it's not stored in a cool, dark place.

I'm interested to know about that, too. The liquids I bought from cignot actually say on the labels that it can be put in the fridge for extended life, and that expiration is 2 years? That seems like an awfully long time.

When I read that I actually got worried about degradation from the heat during shipping. Bottles were very warm, it is hot as hades here and they'd sat in the mailbox all afternoon. Now I'm wondering about the cold, I'm new to this and didn't bother to read up on storage....I'd just assumed from those labels that fridge was best and have been keeping mine in a lock box in there.

i'm new also. but with liquids comming in on monday and the 2 i already have. ive been wondering where i will keep it all. i was going to head to walmart and pick up a small tackle box to keep in my closet. i also plan on picking up a pad/key lock for it. since there are little ones that run around here. i don't want them to happen in to my liquid and some how drink it or something.

that is if you have nic liquid. i don't know how safe 0 nic liquid is if some one drinks it. but i'm sure i would prob lock that up just in case if there are kids around.

I wouldn't worry too much about a short period of too hot or too cold ruining the juice. I keep all my stuff out in my work shed/mancave and haven't had any go bad yet before I use it. And I've had some for 6 months at least.

I do keep the A/C on during the hottest part of the day. I think that a temp range of 50 to 90 Fahrenheit is ok for a few months.

If you are going to keep juice much longer than that, well, just keep it at room temp in the house somewhere.

As Swedishfish has already mentioned, there is a thread somewhere on ECF saying that storing in the fridge is not recommended, but that freezing may be OK. Go figure.

I think the main reason people counsel against refrigeration is the possibility of condensation, (which won't be a problem if you freeze).

Hi Lon! Good to see you on ECF (it's Ms. Mayhem from VIP, LOL).

lwoda9 - No worries. :) E-liquid has a 2 year shelf life, and probably even beyond that. However, the flavoring can degrade or change and the nicotine can degrade in strength after 2 years, but it won't go bad unless there is bacteria in the bottle or the flavoring ingredients go bad. I've vaped some over liquid that was at least 2 years old, and it was just fine.

You'll be surprised how quick you go through e-liquid though so I doubt that you'd need special storage even if you stock up. Most use around 3-5ml a day so a 30ml bottle goes quick, especially if you use a LR atomizer, mods or tanks.

Storing bulk non-flavored nicotine liquid (for DIY) in a fridge is fine (according to Dvap, who is a chemist). He also made these recommedations for e-liquid storage in this interesting thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3742-smoke-juice-storage-tips.html#post654685
