Good suggestion from CL above.

I cut my teeth on the IGO-L RDA. It's a great one to learn with as the deck is quite large and building is easy, even for people with ham fists like me. It also has a pretty large drip cup for catching over-drips. It's well made, costs around $12 and is an excellent first RDA.

You can do dual coils on it too, but it's only a two post RDA, so although technically possible, I have never tried more than 2 coils in mine.

I know it's not exactly what you wanted, but as a starter RDA, a lot of people do recommend this one for its ease of use.

All I own is clone RDAs all of which are great performers: IGO-L, IGO-W, Nimbus, and Origen (which is a favorite holds a ton of juice for a dripper). I purchased some via ebay and fasttech.

I just got a trident v2 clone. It's cheap, easy to build on, adj. airflow, looks good, no leaks, perfect for me as a first rda. Quality is very good, made by tobeco, got it at rtdvapor. I also bought a prometheus clone from them that was defective, emailed them pictures of the problem and rtd sent a replacement right away.

Currently own a Nimbus, Helios, and ERB(Easy Rebuildable Atomizer). The ERB doesn't fit here too well, it's a bottom feed RBA, but I love it. Between the Nimbus, and Helios, I prefer the Helios as it doesn't require me to drill anything out. It performs extremely well without a drill, drilling it out might make it a little crazier, but it works fantastically well out of the box.

IMO = In My Opinion

Drippers are too much fuss for me, although I do like the taste. So, I wound up LOVING my genny style tank, the Hcigar Kracken clone set up in auto dripper mode with a simple, single microcoil and cotton wick. Really great, intense, flavor at 1.3 ohms. I tilt the PV with the tank to basically let the juice up to the wick. No dripping required, but I get dripping taste.

I've got the Nimbus too and so far love it. dual coil. Depending on the coil I build I do sometimes just run one coil in it. I do suggest larger air holes though. Drilled mine out a bit bigger and it's great, just can't remember what size lol. I love the taste on an RDA with a bit hotter coil, but dang those hot coils suck up the juice fast.

I'm going to check those out now... that's the second time today I've heard about it. First from a friend who didn't have it on him, but swore by it and loves it. Now here..... I'm headed to google

I have owned a Authentic Patriot, Igo-W, Solar, and Quasar. Quasar will take my heart on this one. Absolutely love how easy it is to build on and the quality of the RDA is fantastic. Vicious Ant and Cosmic Innovations definitely came together to make something special here. The price for the quality is actually quite good in my opinion (on the Quasar). Quasar has the adjustable air flow dual / single coil. The o-rings are built into the cap and are hidden which is probably my favorite feature. Slides right on and right off and is never loose. I liked the Authentic Patriot but the O-Rings were a pain in the ... for me and my insulator melted and the center pole would move up and down. Ive accidently heated my quasar super hot by an accidental fire in my bag for god knows how long...vented my battery melted the delrens on the Magnetic Dragon mod (top and bottom delren) but the Quasar is good as new still.
