I've been hearing the the Rose V2 is the top of the line. If you have a lot of patience, you may look into the Orchid as well.
I agree with Cullin on the Orchid. It is an excellent little tank... around 3ml capacity, dual coil. Awesome flavor and better airflow than a Kayfun. But the build deck is TINY!!! You WILL get frustrated, but push through the annoyance and you'll be happy!
I agree on the Orchid. The version 4 has a 4 ml tank. I use mine as a single coil. I plug the airhole on the opposite side of the deck with cornstarch paste, so that the plug is removable.

I'm a Kayfun lite + kinda guy, when it comes to RTA's.
I own 4 of them and love them all. I also own an Aqua - it's dual coil and it's.... meh.... ok, I suppose. I like the KFL+ better though.

I was using 32g Kanthal and doing dual coils for a total around 2-3 ohm coils and a Tesla VV/VW mod. It worked out okay, but took a while to heat up.
I switched to 28g dual coils, 0.4 ohm total and put it on a mech... wicked with rayon... vapes like a champ! Uses a lot more juice set up like that, though.
I may have to try your cornstarch plug trick and run a single coil....

Kayfun lite plus is easy peasy for your first one, and works like a champ.
I just ordered a Kayfun 2.1 in black. Nice small tank for travel/stealth vaping.

I ran into the same problem with my Aqua. Dual coils just took too long to heat up. I switched to a sleeper coil setup and it works much much better.
One piece of 28g kanthal with two separate coils wrapped on it, 1.5 ohm. Heats up as fast as a single coil but allows dual wicks.
That's a cool set-up! Looks nice too!
I'm running duals now, but at .4 on the mech, it gets a lot more power to the coils than the Tesla can provide...
The Tesla is great for carto-tanks and such, but rebuildables of any type are just too much hassle for me... 15W 3A limit is just to confining for me to build for...
A sleeper coil is a dual coil with one piece of wire, so you wrap one side, put it in then wrap another with the same piece of wire

My coils for my Orchid and Russian91 are 32ga twisted, on an approximately 2mm knitting needle, 12 wraps for 1.8Ω.
The Squape R looks interesting I think it will be my first RBA if I can figure out which clone is the best
I've been looking as well and from what I've found so far, the Taifun GT, the Fogger V4 and the Orchid all receive very high reviews. I've been told the Orchid is as close to a dripper as there is.
