For e-cig use I wouldn't use a switch rated less than 2 to 3 amps. Tactile switches are usually used for very low current electronic switching. The one referenced at SparkFun doesn't even show the rating, it looks like it would go into a low current switching situation. I know this isn't much help, but it might save you wasting time and money on something that won't hold up.

Reg high quality tact/momentary switches work fine. Not the cheap crap you get from Radio Shack. There are 3 major online components suppliers that I deal with, Newark , Mouser and Digi-Key, you can search there online catalogs for top quality switch options
Framitz have you ever seen the switch inside a 510 manual battery, its about the size of a grain of rice 1/8" x 3/16" and its probably rated for 50mA like most tact switches and it works without issues. A switch with 2 or 3 amp rating would probably be pretty big....
