Best Tank that is not high maintenance

I've been using Kanger ProTank and iSmoka BCC but I'm getting very frustrated on how quick they clog up. I've tried all the suggestions (PG vs VG, not chain smoking, cleaning the wicks, dry cleaning, etc) but they are only minor improvements. I want good draw and I don't want to have to replace the atomizer every few days. I have a Vivi Nova and while the draw is not as good as a clean ProTank with new atmomizer, it is good and consistent for much longer. I am thinking about moving over to it as my preferred tank system for vaping but thought I would check in with you peeps to hear what your thoughts are...

What are the best tanks for drawing vapor that don't clog up?

Pro tank II with 28g kanthal micro coil and cotton. Perfection.

So you're re-building your own coils/wick - this is the last thing I was going to try. I have tried replacing the flavor wick with cotton but it still clogs up fast. I didn't go so far as to rebuild the coil because I have concluded that the clogging is just an attribute of bottom feeders of this type design.

Haven't really had any clogging issues with my Smoktech dual coil two hole cartomizer's in an Artemas Tank. Tank holds about 4ml and then add the carto capacity. Lasts me all day. With the thinner liquids I have noticed that it may flood which just pushes me to use my single hole carto's.
I'm vaping a 30/70% PG/VG in a two hole and it's working awesome.

I'm with you, I don't want to rebuild. I'd rather just buy my coils already made up. Someone should start selling them. I'd buy them. I bought everything to make my own coils and I used some of my Kanthal wire for to hold some metal together for a soldering project. Worked out great.

Right now, there is no such animal as a maintenance free atomizer system. Top coil, bottom coil, dual coil or rebuildable.

After one tank of liquid in my Protanks, the coil and tank go into a hot bath. Same with my X10. I do this after two tankfuls with Evods, MT3S and my Aro. When the coils are just too far gone, I retire them and pop new ones out of the blister pack.

I haven't tried the iSmoka BCC but I've noticed the Protanks clog easier than top wicking clearomizers. I'm still looking for a glass clearomizer that has a top wick. I vape coffee/mocha juice so they tend to clog quicker than light colored juices.

I was just doing some searching and found this (don't know why I did not know of this till now...

I'm not looking for something that is totally maintenance free - just something that doesn't clog up after only 2 - 3 days of usage. I get longer life out of my top wick Vivi-Nova tank but just not the same draw I do with my ProTank when it has a new atomizer/coil. I would prefer to keep using ProTanks if they did not clog so easily.

I'm not trying to be obtuse, but this is like saying I want a coffee pot that doesn't make me change the filter every morning. Or, a car that doesn't need an oil change every 5,000 miles. Any system that uses wicks to get the liquid to the coil requires frequent maintenance. Even a cartotank uses poly fiber fill to transport the liquid to the element.

Maintenance may be inconvenient, but it's better than emptying ashtrays and changing air filters twice as often.

I realize that but I still think some tanks by design will provide less maintenance than others. That is what I am trying to target in this discussion. I see there being a trade-off so it is subjective. My Vivi Nova lasts longer before I need to replace the wick head but does not get the nice draw of my ProTank when it's atomizer coil is newly replaced. Perhaps the inquiry is too subjective.

There entails the flaw in your logic. There are too many variables to calculate that will make a certain tank maintenance free one way or the other. I get 2-4 weeks out of the coils in my protanks/PT2's. Vivi Novas lasted me a day or 2 before flavor was gone and maintenance was required. Both using 2.5ohm heads and the same juice. So what works for you doesnt always work for others and vice versa. So therefore, its doubtful there is any foolproof way to making a tank be less maintenance for one, and more for another.

We love subjective inquiries here... what you talking about ?

My Fav is also an IBTanked with Carto ( Ikenvape or Smok) most "hastle free" vape for me.....

and I love 306 Driping LR atomizers.... But... you gotta drip, drip, drip....

I USED to use the Protanks and also think they need a daily soak and wash ( keeping them in rotation).......

So, I just think its the nature of the beast here.

PS... I dont go to bed without a shower or a bath.... why should your coils do the same ? Just a random thought with only a little merit.....

Right or wrong, I just wanted to get my post count up...:D

rounding third and heading home...
try an iclear 30 . I have good luck with them -no leaking, nice flavor and smooth warm vape. yes, you have to tip it because it's a top coil, but I never found that to be much of a hassle. it wicks everything including my 100% vg juices. about every third day I rotate in a new coil and soak the old one in vodka. I have had 2 coils last almost 2 months. YMMV-it is the easiest to refill and go(takes a few seconds).
