Currently, I only use the Aga-T2 in mine, I usually do a u-wick silica with mine with microcoil, but lately been doing the vertical single wick cotton. I just shove a eraser-sized (on #2 pencils) cotton pellet into my coil that's hovering over the wick hole, and as long as I tilt (with one wick hole open), it's like a dripper!

Clouds of vape, less cotton = more vape...

I like the Boge Standard resistance laser punched cartos. They last me 4-7 days and I buy them from surevapes.com. They have a mix & match option to purchase 5 boxes (25 cartos) for $27.

How do you know when the carto needs replacing? I've got a couple that I've had in my Smok Pyrex DCTs and have been vaping them hard for almost 2 weeks with no sign of performance loss.

ok awesome thank you for the size clarification.
im new to carto tanks. so what brand of carto do you recommend for an ibtanked. also i have seen some cartos that have a slim body and some that have the ring at the bottom.
my question is what type of cartos are best?

I like Smoktech laser punched, but that's just me. IBTanked sells cartomizers on the accessories page and the prices aren't bad. I buy my standard sized from them, since I like flanged and it's hard sometimes to find standard flanged.

Back to the question: cartos are the same diameter. They come in different lengths, but what you see for tank cartos are standard (35mm - tube only, the screw isn't measured) and XL, sometimes called "Mega" (45mm - screw excluded).

The number of holes depends on the thickness of you juice. I vape low vg juice, so 1 or 2 holes is fine; very high vg may need 4 holes.

Flanged or flangeless is personal preference for tanks like the IBTank, which has interchangeable top and bottom caps. There are other tanks that required a flange because of a concave bit at the bottom the flange fits into.

It's not always the same, but here are a few symptoms of impending death:

The draw gets tight
It starts to taste weird
It starts to taste burnt
If you pull off the drip tip and look down, there is a dark circle around the center tube spreading outwards. There's usually a little darkness around the center, but this will appeared burned.
The juice in the tank gets dark and it's not from steeping.

If you rotate you gear and aren't chain-vaping the same carto, they can last a long time.

It was actually my disappointment in Smok DCT that pushed me towards RBAs.
Maybe I got a bad batch of cartos but I didn't enjoy them at all.

I've got a batch of the Boges for my f16s that are hit and miss right now. When they work, they work great for a long time but I've had a couple that were burnt from the first vape including one that came with a tank.

I experienced that burnt taste and figured by the second carto this burning has got to be user error. That's when I learned about priming.

I'm preferring my Vison Vivi Nova to the Protank 2 that came with my Provari. If only the Vivi were glass... I am also getting in some (5 boxes) XL Boge 3.0 ohm (non punched). I figure I can use these for trying out my liquid samples. I'll get some carto tanks next paycheck. I'm thinking Valley Vapes, myself. Does anyone like grommets? I was thinking of getting a few for backups to the caps.
