Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

Anybody tried the blending Perique from P&C?

Blending - Perique - Pipes and Cigars

I have had good success with DIY extractions from the following two Perique tobaccos ordered from smokingpipes.com. They are found under the "tobacco heading" "bulk" tobaccos.
one is McClelland blending Perique and the other was Cornell & Diehl long cut Perique.
very fine vapes! The longer the steep the better they got! Wishing you good luck with these! :smokie:

A couple of new aromatic's that I have extracted.

Sutliff Chocolate Mousse - Pipes and Cigars

Every retail chocolate juice I have ever tried has pretty much sucked, but this produced a really good tasting juice.

CAO Eileen's Dream - Pipes and Cigars

Description: "Eileen’s Dream starts with top-quality tobaccos- specially selected Virginias and slowly steamed black Cavendish. The flavor profile is completed by the introduction of two sweet and smooth treats- the taste of Irish cream liqueur and white chocolate truffles."

I don't taste the truffles but the Irish cream flavor is really good.

An English blend: If you like English blends but find them too strong for an all day vape, you might like H&H Daybreak. This described as a mild-medium English blend.

Hearth & Home Signature Daybreak - Pipes and Cigars

A Va/Per: Lane's 125th Anniversary
Lane 125th Anniversary - Pipes and Cigars

This is very similar to H&H Louisiana Red, but I think this one wins by a nose.

I really like PS 84 but sometimes I was wanting something more Turkish forward, so I have recently made extractions of two of P&C's blending tobaccos.

Izmir fine cut Blending - Izmir Fine Cut - Pipes and Cigars

and

Smyrna Blending - Smyrna - Pipes and Cigars

My plan is to mix these with the PS 84, but the Smyrna is really good by itself.
The Izmir has a more dry and musty flavor, so will work better in a mix.
It's been a couple of years since I had NET.com's Sun Cured, but either of these will tick that box.

I have some Smyrna from boomerdude and yep, it's good by itself. I'll put it and the blending Perique on my Wish List.

Yesterday I started tasting my American Spirit batches that I mixed last weekend.
American Spirit Blue is sweet-ish with a pleasant after taste.
American Spirit Natural seems somewhat similar but, a little more earthy
American Spirit Perique is just that. Medium Perique flavor with a sweet/sour funk.
I seem to remember that cigarette extracts take longer than pipe tobaccos to fully mature. Is that correct?

One possible disappointment was the Rocky Patel Vintage '90. Hardly any flavor. Maybe I broke it apart wrong. I think I did fairly large pieces for more surface area. I know cigars take awhile so I'll try again in a month or so but, I'm holding off on breaking up a couple of others I have until I see where this one ends up.

I agree that cigars just do not translate to well. they worked a LITTLE better, at least for me, with a long room temp extraction and a real long steep

My order came yesterday. I'd forgotten I'd ordered one of these: 1881 Perique - Pipes and Cigars

Perhaps if I break it into smaller pieces I might get more flavor. What do y'all think?

thanks!

I notice the wrappers in these cigars are not Perique but Dominican tobacco. If you are strictly after the Perique flavor, you will have to separate them. You might want to light one up to see if you like the cigar by itself; but be careful .....

I say do it all. There are far cheaper ways to get pure perique.

It might be an expensive way to get Perique, but still, better than wasting it all by extracting a wrapper he may not like....
I personally don't care for cigar flavor, but 67Tele may be different - the reason I suggested he take a whif or two.

Wasn't getting it for the Perique alone. I was curious to how it would be added to a cigar flavor so, I think I'll do it all together and see what happens. I'm more concerned about how to break it up.

Thanks guys!

Hey 67, I do cigars almost exclusively these days and never have flavor problems. Some I don't like as well so I just move on. The RP 1990 is one of my favorites and I've done it several times with great results. I wait until "she who must be obeyed" goes out and then I grab her best kitchen knife and cutting board. I split the cigar length wise and lay it flat side down and cut about 1/4" slices all the way through. Then some cross chopping to get it about the size of pipe tobacco from a pouch. I do heat assisted extractions for 5 day cycle (on during day, off at night) in a 130 degree water bath with a 65/35 VG/PG mix (about 120ml for a toro size cigar). You can search some of my other posts. I haven't tried room temp so don't have a comparison but this works for me. 20% C in a 50/50 mix at 10% N.
I used to smoke 3-4 maduro's a day and I don't even like them anymore. Even though the 1990 is a maduro and that's what I preferred, I've found that other wrappers including Connecticut seem to make better juice. And I've chopped up some fine cigars just to be disappointed in the extraction. Don't forget to wash the knife and cutting board and put them away!
I know that you're no rookie and doing a bunch of your own but just wanted to share my experience.

Great! Very good advice on cutting and method! I haven't ventured into heat assisted yet but, I think cutting it the way you describe (similar to pipe tobacco) will get me a better result. On the one I did I tore it into flat pieces about 1/2"to 1" thinking the surface area would be enough.

Thanks!

Say, this is what this tread is all about! Trail and error and suggestions from others, as patioclark and others have done. Great job all! :toast:

Just My 2p/2c's worth.....I've only extracted Cuban & Filipino cigars, but did do some Dominican wrapper wholeleaf. I found it a bit 'meh' at 1st (1 month cold PG & a coupla weeks mixed juice 'sitting'..) hence it's sat there since October......it's really improved! I prefer it to the Pinoy sumatras....& it's not far behind the Habanas!
Oh, & I never got the same richness of flavour from the 'Perique' blending tobacco I extracted as House of Liquid get in Theirs...annoyingly!!

by hot ethanol extraction the same tobaccos has become a good smokiness after 18 days with 10-15% reduced extract in my experiences. I liked most the american spirit organic, but its a little bit too sweet. The turkish pipe 84 from stokkebye was better and for example pepe rich green.

It seems to be that turkish tobacco has a very good flavour. I have ordered different turkish tobaccos to find the best one.
