Extracting the tar of smoked cigarettes cant be the right way. But i understand what you want. Have you tried the hot ethanol extraction method of tobaccos ? After 2-3 weeks the juices gets a smoky taste. Its not the same as a real cigarette but better than only pg or vg extractions.

Perhaps burning flavours could be a little solution for example the flavours of a fire cured tobacco and perhaps flavours like the ash tray but i havent tried it. It would be interesting to know more about roasting flavours. On the other side roasting flavour could have ingredients which are not good for our healty. I have read something about it a few months ago.

Its a dream of me to make a net which has a burning flavour like a real cigarette and the tobacco flavour from a very good net but i dont think that i can do this perfect juice. Perhaps a little bit more similar to a cigarette.

Yes I have tried extracting fire cured tobaccos with ethanol. Although they have somewhat of a smokey taste, there is no comparison with the burnt flavor of cigarettes I am getting from my experiment.

As I believe you already suspect, using the tar and resin left over from a burnt cigarette has some risks involved. The heavy carcinogen associated with smoking tobacco "Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons" (PAH), and several toxic compounds including "Acrolein" are actually created/formed by pyrolysis (when the tobacco is burnt) and will be present in the tar and resin byproducts of such incomplete combustion. They aren't actually found in tobacco leaf but are produced/formed when burning -ANY- organic matter, including tobacco.

Now that the politically correct obligatory disclaimer is out of the way, I would go on to speculate that the amount of those "nasties" you're going to consume when you vape NET flavored with your tar/resin extract is likely going to be pretty small. Perhaps the equivalent of smoking a single cigarette every month or two or eating flame kissed (grilled) steaks a couple of time a month. The funny thing about toxicity and harm from exposure is that it's always dose/time dependent. Rather or not the risk associated with using the tar/resin extract is worth the flavor is yields is completely up to the individual doing so. That's my ten cents worth.

EDIT: As far as trying to replicate the taste by flame scorching a NET, I don't think it would work (wouldn't impart a smoky flavor) but have never actually tried. Sounds like an interesting experiment!

Yes I do have some reservations about inhaling residue from burnt tobacco. As I already mentioned in that thread, each ml of liquid contains approximately 8% of resins from a single cigarette. Problem is, the flavor is too good to ignore ....

That doesn't seem so bad, depending on how much liquid you vape a day.

By your figures each cigarette flavors about 12ml of liquid, so if you vape 6ml a day it would be like smoking a cigarette every two days.

Question is how are you accumulating this resin? Do you still smoke?

Thanks checkum. I have ordered some different stokkebye and a mc clelland samsun at pipes and cigars a few weeks ago. I am searching something like the stokkebye turkish. Today i have ordered yendje at leafonly.com. I want to try more samsun because the 84 contains samsun and its good. The samsun from mc clelland dont smells as good as the 84 because it smells not naturally. But its now in my cooker with some stokkebye and i will know the taste in the ready juice in a few days.

No no checkum not samson. I like the turkish samsun in the stokkebye 84. :)

Actually it is spelled: Samsoun......

Peter Stokkebye 84 Turkish

Stokkebye’s Turkish Pipe tobacco is a flavorful blend of Turkish Samsoun (a legendary Oriental leaf) which is sun-cured and expertly blended with ripe Virginia tobaccos for a complex pleasing smoke. It is lightly aromatic and smooth.

I have a question about aging your tobacco. Many people have said tobacco tastes the best when it's aged a bit. Does that apply only to smoking, or is it true with extraction?
NETs get better with age, the more types of tobacco in the mix the better it gets with time.

This has been my experience.
