I like my vape to hit HARD, so perhaps my current setup is the best, though I'm probably cooking my lungs and the sensible out there will tell me that my vape is going to explode and take off my hand / face, but right now it's the HOG with 4 braided coils over 10 wraps putting out about 500 watts. Yes I know 29 amps is too much for the VTC5As but I'm only pulsing it for 1.5 seconds at max.

My "best vape" has evolved over the last seven years.

First one was a huge jump from using cigalikes. An AltSmoke Silver Bullet mechanical mod with a cartotank (2.5 ohm carto).

Second one was evolving up to a Provari (variable voltage) with said cartotank. Variable power and the Provari was a gamechanger for me.

Third one was using a Kayfun Lite RTA (1.5 ohm single coil) with either a Provari or Silver Bullet.

Currently using a DNA regulated mod JAC Vapor series B DNA75W at 30 watts with a Original Uwell Crown Clearomizer Tank and a 0.5 ohm coil. Best vape yet.

I use the above setup at home and for out-and-about use. I switch between two favorite commercially prepared flavors:
100% VG Coffee Cake eLiquid - Spring Vapor
Watermelon by Simply Fruit E-Liquid - MyVaporStore (30pg/70vg)

That's like saying I always drive 20 miles an hour over the speed limit, or always drive home after have a few too many beers, and I never get caught. Most of the time you'll get away with it, but eventually that practice will catch up with you and the you'll pay heavily when it does.

If you are using builds that have a such a high amp draw, why aren't you using a 30 amp battery?

Probably sounds worse if I say that I drive at 20 miles per hour over the limit when the road is empty too... Always really been a live-fast die young kind of person. Selfish, yes, but already been almost dead twice for no fault of my own anyway so may as well take destiny in my own hands.
Are there many 30A batteries around that actually hold up to it when Mooch puts them through the mill and finds out they only really max out at 15A? I used to use LG HG2's but they started getting hot quick as the amp draw slowly increased with my builds. The VTC5's never seem to get even warm to touch, let alone hot. But yes, I am playing with fire and accept the risks. Would I recommend that anyone else does the same as me? Absolutely not.

My "best" vape is dependant on what I am doing. But since you said out and about for a couple hours, that would be my anchor nano with a gr1. Very small and compact so it is very easy to carry.

But I have other set ups for other situations as well that could also be considered "best" depending on what I'm doing.

Try the samsung 20S, it is the best 30a 18650 on the market right now.

I'm not one to really .... my nose into other's business, but I have a slight issue with this statement. If you are using this setup around others, you are not only playing with fire, but potentially putting those around you at some risk as well (who I would venture to guess wouldn't be as comfortable to accept the risk).

I am curious why in less than a week you jumped 200 watts? Last I heard you were pushing 300W now it's 500W. Why, may I ask?

Different build that was far harder to keep the ohms up. I have before been a complete idiot and vaped 700 on a dual batt series mod pulling 75 amps. Stupid and foolish times and I probably deserved to blow myself up. I have brought it down to about 29 amps now, but should go buy some Samsung 20S to bring my load back within tolerance.

Instead of being a complete fool and playing with the 18650's well past their safety margin. You should have someone build you a custom 6S PWM mod, that way you can vape very safely at 1000W (45A) on a 0.5 ohm build. Hell, with a 50C cell you could even use a 0.13 ohm build and still be within spec at 3800W (170A)...

Sounds fun, or bleeding expensive. I think I'll just buy some 20S's and vape at 29 amps on a 30A cell.

I keep thinking, "...and people wonder why the FDA thinks they need to regulate ecigs."
