The calculation Is great but it depends on the type of juice, and personal preference , IMO.. I have found my sweet spot at around 5w , anything higher and my juices start to taste burnt unless I'm using hi percent vg , may equipment has something to do with it too, I use mostly ce2 style instead of typical cartos. From 2 to 2.8 ohms looking to getting on the higher range 3.2 and up to have a wider range on voltage.

OK. So use a 5 in the calc instead of 8.

However, I agree that it varies and is really rather...um... unscientific. Turn the dial up/down until you like it. I considered building a VV PV that was color coded for reference... just to get away from all the #'s talk, charts, calcs, readouts, etc. Since it's all subjective anyway... you just need a reference point for the setting for any particular atty/carto/juice.

I agree that the subjective experience is all that matters. If you really wanted to get scientific you would have to consider such things as the surface area of the coils in your chosen device, the boiling point of the exact mixture of juice you are using, and ever more variables. It isn't just amps, watts, and current. The scientific view just has too many variables, the formula just gets you in the ballpark.

Taste is very subjective. Nobody can say that such and such watts is the sweet spot. There are simply too many variables to vaping. This is why I can't watch juice reviews. I used to and have been so disappointed with juices that were supposed to be awesome. IMO most juices do well at 9ish watts, but some taste better at 5 and other shine at 12. Its all personal taste here of course.
