I'm looking for a vv mod that has a little bit of everything, but don't want to spend much over 100 bucks. I know people love the provari, but thats a little high when you can get the same thing from a lavatube. I also heard that vamo's were good for the price as well as the knight rider. I seem to be leaning toward the evic mostly because its ability to download new software to keep up with new trends as well as new improvements. I did read that the kanger T3 doesnt work on it and thats kind of a negative. But with all the other things it can do, it seems to be above the curve.

Hi and welcome! You have opened a can of worms with your question. Everyone here has their favorites. Your best bet would be to read the threads under the APV sub-forum where people debate every device available. I'm not sure of any VV besides a Twist or Spinner that a Kanger will fit on without an adapter (I apologize in advance if I'm mistaken), but adapters aren't that expensive.

If you don't mind waiting, there is a sale going on for VAMOs: http://.........blogspot.com/2013/02/super-low-vamo-3328.html

ETA: I stand corrected. ;)
ETAA: Maybe I stand corrected

I think the evic is a good option, there are plenty of options out there right around the hundred and under mark, the new zmax would also be a good option, sturdier build, but it won't have all the neat bells and whistles software wise. I almost bought an evic, I have a friend who uses the evic with t3's, or he claims to...I'd have to look into weather it could use them or not.

Edit:

Forgot that he may be using an adapter for the T3s

Get your waders on...... Its gonna get interesting real soon.

My vote goes to this device with the 6ampere upgrade. SmokTek "SmokBox VariCool" - Custom variable volt Box Mod - Efficient switching regulator! adjustable 3,4,5,6.5 volt's & everything between. This is the device I custom build for all those who know me and want something that will perform, everytime, any device, any voltage any wattage you want.

You may be looking for a tube, which is outside of my area of expertise. But this I can say will blow almost everything else away at about half the price of what you are looking to spend. Just my two pennies..

While I was shopping for mods, I found that the zmax and vmax were pretty good. I decided on the vamo, which I definitely recommend if you can wait till the 28th for them. But I stopped by a local shop, and ended up with a lava tube because the guy there gave me a deal I just couldn't refuse. As you said same exact thing as the provari, they both stay true to the voltage right up until the last drop of juice in the battery. Only difference is the feel, the provari definitely has a solid feel to it. Definitely feels like a mod.

I just saw the video of PBusardo not being able to get the T3 tank to work, but it sounds like it will. Thanks, this helps my decision a little bit. And WWWOOOOOWWWW, is the vamo really on sale for 33 buck, I just might get it as a backup.

26 bucks if u get it from vaporbreak, takes forever though, and tracking is hit and miss. You might not care though if it's just for a backup. (you have to create and account and log in to see the cheaper price, the one I ordered as a gift for a friend took 3 weeks and tracking never worked, just showed up with the mailman one day)
