You want to use the unscented denture tablets.

Also if the smell is really strong you can fill it with a bit of white vinegar, give it some swirls and then air it out (the vinegar smell will go away)

also, stubborn smells that have an oil base to them tend to stick in plastic bottles, so sometimes a little bit of rubbing alcohol, swirled around in the bottle well help to break that down.

I just run hot water through every thing and let air dry. I did get some 60 ml syringes on the Bay, which are awesome for measuring large batches.

When I first started DIY juice, had saved all me old juice bottles, and cleaned them all, and just added an assortment of syringes, blunt tip needles, glass rods(a must for mixing), and a couple beakers/flasks. But, could easily use Mason or Kerr jars, but really like the Erlenmeyer Flasks, and were reasonable. Get 99% of my supplies from Wizard Labs. Orders over $60 receive free shipping.

I boil my bottles and just toss my syringes because I buy them in bulk boxes and they wear out. So i just toss and use new ones when they wear out. I designate a syringe for pg only, one for nicotine only, and one for vg only. I use glass droppers for my flavors as glass won't hold the taste of a flavor like plastic will. So i rinse with scalding hot water in between flavors.hope this helps

Syringes I flush with Vodka (cheap, high alcohol content brand), then rinse with water and air dry. I put tape over the markings on my syringes to keep them from fading away with washings.

Bottles I wash with hot, soapy water and air dry. I try to use the same bottles for the same mixtures so lingering flavors aren't a problem.

Now see I should have known about the vinegar thing already, and the rubbing alcohol... I probably would have tried vodka. In the meantime I've put a cheapo syringe plastic thingy, (what do they call those) in it's own labeled ziplock and labeled it as well; for only that flavor extract. Thanks FallenRawToast!

Would it be ok to soak in cheap vodka ? I've got a bottle with the smaller drip tip ( noob here don't know what it's refers to lol) and it comes with a locking childproof like cap. It's also sturdier too lol.

Anyways long story short. That grape flavoring it had previously lingers. (I tossed the liquid out, wasn't good for subObhming I guess. But, I can still catch hints of it in it. I've tried rinsing it and using another flavor in it. But the slight grape smell lingers.

Cheap vodka is always ok to try. The higher the proof/% the better.
