I'm pretty sure Kanger has some 1.5 ohm coils that would be better suited for mouth to lung. The hole in the center of the coil is smaller, allowing for a tighter draw. You can reduce the airflow by adjusting the airflow ring to one of the smaller sizes, but it's just not the same. It doesn't address the airflow through the coil. The smaller hole in the 1.5 ohm is better suited to lower airflow than the 1.2 due to how much air would actually flow across the coils and how fast.

I use mine, as others have stated, on the first or second airholes. My RBA is usually built at 1.2 ohms. Depending on the juice thickness, I usually vape 50/50 so the second airhole is in use. If I'm vaping something thicker I use the first airhole for the little extra suction to force the liquid into the coil a little easier.

Not a great answer, but personally I can't use my Kanger Nanos for MTL. The biggest airflow setting is useless for MTL, the next smallest one is barely useable and the smaller ones are too tight.

I find the Aspire Atlantis tanks are much better for MTL.

I am a huge Kanger fan and own a few Minis/Nanos, but I have to do lung hits even at 10w when using 1.2ohm Kanger coils.

YMMV of course.....

P.s. Doesn't matter if it is 90%, 80% or 50% VG.

Just got a Mini to use with the 1.2 coils for MTL/lung hits and am totally in love with the setup. I like an airy-er hit than I think is typical, and the combo of the 1.2 coil in the Mini with the AFC opened up about halfway on the large slot is just right for me. Currently vaping a 60/40 Banana Nut Bread juice at 14w on a iStick TC60 and it's awesome. (Never thought I'd like that flavor, but I needed to go off my flavor train for a change.) Had tried the 1.8 Triton coils in a Melo 2 and it was just too tight a draw for me, like trying to suck a thick milkshake through a cocktail straw.

Only problem I'm having currently is finding a local source for the Kanger 1.2 coils. I'll order some online, but I also like supporting my local B&M's..

Yep, same situation here, too. I really tried to use the Subtank Nano and Mini, but had a lot of trouble getting a satisfying MTL experience without burning the coil/wick. I had trouble getting the 1.5 ohm coils to wick properly, and when I started using the RBA it seemed that I could only use the largest opening without the wick getting burnt. Eventually, I just gave up and returned to using my Aspire Nautilus with 1.6 ohm coils, and now I'm looking forward to trying Aspire's new 1.2 ohm coils for the Nautilus/Triton Mini.

Yeah I've tried tonight to MTL with the nano with the 1.2ohm coil and it's no good. I find with that coil or the .5ohm coil it is only satisfying on the widest air hole. So the 1.2 is useless as it's the same draw / lung hit as with the .5 coil but not as good. .5ohm coil is lung hits only and the taste on the exhale is good but I just do not like lung hits, too much air, nothing on the inhale.

The Nautilus mini is the ultimate MTL tank I've tried so far, Kanger Genni okay but the Nautilus is so damned reliable I'm sticking with those. So I guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and buy two more as I want 3 flavours in my rotation and gets annoying having to clean the tank and coils to change flavours.

Ah well it's all experimentation and I've learned the expensive way that it's ego+EVOD for work at 6mg and Cool Fire 4 plus Nautilus Mini around 15W and 3mg (I seem to get the same buzz from 3mg on the nautilus as more vapour per hit) for pleasure and when out socialising. Will keep the juice ratio 50/50 for good coil life and use clear liquids rather than dark ones. A good thing is the EVOD and Nautilus BVC coils do give me a very long time, about a month each.

Well I've vaped so much nicotine tonight experimenting that there is no way I could smoke a cig if I even wanted to which I do not

Two more Nautilus Mini's and an extra EVOD tomorrow it is! That means 5 flavours on the go at just the right nicotine level for each set up.

Should keep me quite happy.

I reckon the Nano would be better if I can find a narrow bore drip tip for it, that will be my final try to make it work, if not it's evod for work and nautilus for out and at home all the way.

Guys, guys guys! I just went in the B&M, bought a medium bore Nautilus style drip tip that fits on my subtank nanos!

It vapes just like my Nautilius mini! Perect MTL draws. Please try it before giving up on your sub ohm tanks if like me you don't like lung hits.

It's just the wide bore drip tips on the sub ohm tanks that make MTL a struggle! One simple fix, for £2.99 and suddenly I don't have to trash my subtank Nano and 5 pack of coils.

Now using subtank nano with .5ohm coils, 28Watts, 70VG lquid the Nautilus probably would struggle with and it vapes just like a Nautilus mini!

I am sooooooo happy now. Finally I can MTL heavier VG liquids I need to use up in my subtank Nano without throwing them away so saved money there and can have two flavours on the go without needing to buy a 2nd Nautilus, so saved money there too. (Though I'll probably get a 2nd eventually as want 3 flavours on the go.)

Subtank nano with narrow drip tip and .5ohm coils for less coil friendly liquids and nautilus mini for 50/50. Perfect.

I am finally a happy MTL vaper.

I have a Subtank Nano that I use on a pretty regular basis.

I am a mouth to lung vaper and use the vertical 1.2 ohm OCC coil in it along with the air valve set to the smallest single hole (wish the hole was even slightly smaller)

As for power, I feed the 1.2 ohm coil 12 watts of power and get no dry hits.

Juice is DIY mixed at: 40% PG / 60% VG - 15mg Nic

BTW ... I have been buying these 1.2 ohm vertical OCC coils from Fasttech (non-authentic, but just as good as far as I'm concerned)

I already replaced the wide 'fart pipe' mouthpiece that comes standard on the Nano with a smaller one (Kayfun V4)

Sounds like you guys should try the Kabuki tank from House of Hybrids (if youre in Europe they have it at Creme de vape UK).It works with the same coils as the Nautilus Mini but ...it's a whole different story!!!

it has great airflow and can provide big heavy vapor if that's what you like (the airflow can be very finely tuned, very easily too, MUCH better than the Mini Nautilus, there too it blows the Mini Nauti away...) but the FLAVOR is just OUT of THIS WORLD!
Id say PLUS 30% vs the mini Nautilus with the SAME coils.

The only drawback is the cost -89$- but believe me youll feel it's SO TOTALLY worth it once you try it.

I too had tried the subtank nano's ,the Atlantis and was disappointed...ended up going back to my 4 (I keep several flavors going) Mini Nautilus's with 1.6ohm coils everytime.... until I finally tried the Kabuki a month ago !
Since then Ive been gradually replacing ALL my setups with this fantastic tank, its like a real revelation .

I know its hard to believe that any tank could make such a HUGE difference, especially with the same stock coils but it's TRUE !!!!

I vape MTL at lowish wattages (8-15W), 50/50 or higher VG premium juices, fruit or -mostly- dessert & bakery flavors.

Look into it,it may work great for you too ???, ;)

OK, totally dumb question - but I'm having trouble replacing my Nano's drip tip. How the heck do you get this Nano drip tip off? I've twisted, I've pulled (with fingers and teeth) but I can't get the sucker off. Any advice? (Or should I just start doing more pushups - shudder, shudder.)
Twist and pull...then more push ups
