Better airflow?

I have two regular VK auto batteries. I've noticed one is much easier to drag on than the other. I'm assuming somehow one of them got clogged up with juice. Visibly there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it. Is there any way I can clean the battery to get better airflow?

Every week or so, I use an old tooth brush and clean the threads and lightly brush the center post. There should be two or three little holes near the threads, sometimes they get blocked up. You could also use a toothpick to clean out those little air holes.

Have you considered that the opposite may be true? I, like many others, have found that when one of the air holes are covered you can get a much better draw on the auto batt. Maybe the one that you are getting better flow on has a clogged air hole whereas the one that you're having problems with is perfectly clean.

They can get clogged up. This is the way I clean them.

I do it when I see the gunk building up or the draw gets too tight, which ever comes first.
