Better than EGO T?

I'm actually quite happy with my EGO-T's. However, I'm still trying to find out how I could prevent that burnt taste from coming up every now and then. I've tried workarounds like soaking them in hot water, pour drops of rubbing alcohol, let them dry, etc. Or sometimes a simple drop of e-liquid on the atomizer, manner of puffing, and so on. I don't know exactly which one worked, but it disappears eventually.

And when they work, they are exactly what I wanted in an e-cig -- easy to fill cartridge, nice throat hit, satisfying amount of vapor and taste and decent battery life.

I'm also thinking of trying those low resistance 510 carto, but my experience with filling up cartos is not pleasant. I really like tanks.

I also have 510-T, but it's like smoking a cigarette with a large hole on the side.

BTW, the burnt taste is not exclusive to my EGO-T's. I'm getting it in my other e-cigs as well and sometimes it takes time to disappear.

If you figure this out you could patent it and make millions!  In the eGo-T it’s usually because the juice isn’t flowing through the bridge quickly enough. Either that or the juice is baked onto the coil and it’s burning off. :2c:

That could be caused by the way you vape. If you take long, deep inhales it won't wick fast enough. I had that issue too.

Once again I will refrain from jumping on the "try this" and "try that" kind of PV train...you already have a great platform with your eGo battery. Now you just need to figure out what to put on top of it. It sounds as though you have ruled out the tanks...as did I. Solid recommendations above include the Boge carto, eGo Mega Dual Coil Carto, Fluxomizers, Smokymizers, etc. No need to toss your batts...

Once you find out what works on top of those batts, and get comfortable with it, you can branch out to VV, or high voltage, etc. Just a thought...

I'm going to go in a bit of a different direction with this.

See all that junk listed in my signature? There is a reason for what it says below them.
If you vape the same thing all day, day in and day out, chances are that it now tastes like chewing on a toothpic.
Get something else, anything else, and give the taste buds a brake.

I have the Ego T and I like it but I found that the Atty is the weak link with these. When the Atty is new it works great but after a day or two they need to be cleaned, and I'm not a heavy vapor. I go through 2 mils a day most days. Once the atty gets a few days on it the coil gets gunked up and the performance drops and drops. Ive been through a bunch of attys because of cleaning them all the time. They still work but the wick gets messed up.

I agree with getting original ego attys because the knockoff are junk. I have not tried carts or anything else because everything seems to have its ups and downs and I don't want to waste my money. When the tanks work they work well but the attys have to be clean. I have had very little issues with leaking. I like the Ego T but buying attys was killing me.

I just ordered a A2 with a tank upgrade and can't wait to get it. I'm tired of buying attys.

I had a bunch of attys lying around so after reading a bunch on here I tried something I picked up in another thread. I used a mesh wick in my old attys and they hit like new again. I could never really clean an atty more than a few times because the wick would get destroyed easily. Try using mesh or pipe screens rolled up in a wick and you will like the atty again.

I think it's interesting. When I smoked the same flavor over and over was fine. Now that I vape I change flavors 3 or 4 times a day.

Yeah, I do the same thing....switch at least 3 times a day...not only flavors but between dripping, ego-t, and reo...still haven't found that end-all solution

Guess I'm just lucky...or dumb. I vape my DIY menthol all day every day. Just haven't found anything I like better.
