Nope, not approved yet. Tried emailing to boardadmin@quitsmokingmessageboard.com, even submitted a ticket on quitsmoking.com, but nothing yet. Poor Fred might be swamped with hate mail and death threats.

I wish I could quit reading there, I really do... I might need to seek serious help

I think that could be it. I feel your pain. Trying to keep up with this site and that one too. I decided I just need to pace myself. I'm wishing myself "good luck with that".

I would, if I could get approved... no responses to emails, maybe I crossed a line with my initial posts <shrugs>

Fred doesn't usually answer pm's or whatever. I can't believe how much he's opened up the board to you guys-Never in the time I've been there has there ever been any changes & as to a core group running the show-thats been ongoing forever. So either join them or move on or thats the way it looks but they do protect their own & they mean well mostly.

She mentioned she was out with the girls. I can't remember if she said she was drunk, but her post certainly insinutated that she was. Of course, we all know where assumptions get us. LOL

This is the way I see it. Some people are coming around. To us being there I mean. And as EACH old faithful member of the QSMB comes back .. whether they have been on vacation or hittin' the bars .. We have to go through it all again.

No one said this would be easy LOL

Hey there Greenlover!! Nice to see you again. A couple of people asked about you, and I remembered you saying that you'd be off from work for the long weekend, so I told them not to worry, that you would hopefully be back soon. How was your holiday? Did you get that bike that your boss offered to buy for you?

I'm sure they do if that hand contains greasy, fattening food and the frequency of hand to mouth was very often....;)

You had to mention food.. I'm a Cajun and I Love good ole southern cooking and Cajun food. I could live on fried chicken and fried catfish and never eat anything else.. and mostly do. If my heart ever pops out of my chest it won't be from the cigarettes ( I hope) but I know my love of fried foods will be a major factor.

I'm from the South as well, over in here in good GA. I know what you mean about good ole southern cooking!! Comfort, soul food fer sure! I love some collard greens, cornbread, fried chicken and cheesy mac and cheese. Has my mouth watering thinking about it.... ;) I'm sure that the greasy food would do me in long before anything else....LOL (Well not really LOL as I don't want to die, but you know what I mean. :D )

I hope ya'll don't mind, but I'm going to be adding you all as friends... I'd hate to lose track of any of you once our ship has sailed

Anybody know where we're going? I always wanted to take a cruise!

I plan to do the same when I find the time. There are about 15 things on my current list.

Darlin, don't react emotionally. Detach yourself. It's so much more fun to remain calm, rational and be realistic. Look at them... They're friggin pathetic. They're practically crying because the "evil ecig people" came and "took over" their precious internet forum. I'm honestly waiting for one of them to say they are going to off themselves or something. Don't be like them, don't let stupid internet arguing effect you like that ;)

I hope you're kidding-otherwise thats not very nice. Why not just enjoy your victory.

I'm with ya Randy. I think it's time for this crazy to retire and get my well needed and well deserved beauty rest. After 2 am here. Fonedude, please get some sleep tonight!!! Don't spend all your energy in the beginning. Slow and steady wins the race. Pace yourself my dear friend. I say this only because I care. ;) Loves ya'll!! Nitey-nite!!

Sorry - the point was that the owner of "their" forum sells these "harm reduction" products, so why the seemingly complete lack of support or understand of harm reduction vs. addiction treatment? I just quoted you because your post linked to the store and was discussing prduct he carries. :)

The true irony is that a product like that could give a smoker the false impression that they are actaully reducing their health risks and they are not - they may even be increasing their exposure to toxins in the long run, because of the misleading impression that removing the nicotine is improving their health, when it actually may make them smoke more. That false sense of security would be even more likely to keep them smoking. At least we are off the smoke, but apparently the nicotine prohibitionists are more ok with continuing using cigarettes without the nicotine than nicotine without the smoke??

I could be mistaken, but I don't believe Fred said anything for or against harm reduction. Just that the ultimate goal was to help people quit smoking cigs. It's the veterans who don't believe in harm reduction. It's a complete quit or you might as well still be smoking "cancerettes" as they so fondly call them.

Not sure why you quoted me?

Well down here in Australia we don't get half of those nice southern foods you guys get over there. I am lucky enough to be able to travel to Dallas at least once if not twice a year for work purposes and just about every night have my deep fried cheese stuffed & crumbed jalapeños. Man do I miss eating those.........
