I just ordered some 510 attys for testing juice. I'm glad to finally have a way to taste without filling a tank!!

Way to go!! .:toast: Just drip a little unflavored juice in between flavors to clean them out. But be careful, you may find dripping so enjoyable you do it just because you like it, not just for testing juice....

That's what I'm afraid of. I already have too many tanks and mods on my wish list. Lol

I'm going to have to stop by the pharmacy and get some VG to clear out in between flavors!

It's a good thing to have around....I have some standards that I use daily....just for a puff or 2 of a different flavor....Very useful..

and another good thing to have around......I use VG when the juice is 50/50 and I can't vape it....I just add some VG and make it the way I need it.......

Well I tried another Protank 2 coil that I rebuilt, but something odd happened with it. I got it all put together and filled up, took a few vapes off of it and it seemed to be working fine, but I could taste that odd taste again so I took it off my device and switched to my other Protank 2 for awhile. A little bit later I decided to try it again, and when I screwed it onto my P3 and tried to take a vape it gave me the "Atty ohms too low" error code. So I took it off the device and then put it back on, same thing happened. However I found that if I only screwed it down enough so it barely made contact with the 510 pin it read the coil at 2.4Ω, then if I screwed it down flush again it would give me the error code. After that I took it off of my P3 and put it on my MVP 2.0 and checked the resistance, and it came out to 0.4Ω

Naturally I removed that coil and haven't tried it again, but I did decide to rebuild another one, and in around 10 minutes I had another 2mm/30g/9 wrap/2.39Ω coil put together :D Still, I'm curious what could have caused the problem with the first coil, can anyone tell me what was going wrong? I'm guessing when I screwed it down flush the self adjusting pin on the P3 was pushing up too hard on the 510 connection of the coil, but why (or how) would that cause the resistance to go down?

When you rebuild Heads like that, you have to make sure that the coil is low enough in the Head that it won't short out on the Stack when you snap it back on. It needs to sit down inside the Head so the wicking comes out touching the bottom of the Head Slots, with the coil perfectly even on both sides at that same height.

You also need to be sure that the two legs are pulled snug from the coil before you remove the excess from the grommet. What I do is gently pull each coil leg with pliers and check how the coil is sitting. This sets the coil height and also makes sure that the legs don't have any excess inside. It also brings the positive lead straight down to the center pin, so that leg doesn't short to ground in the Head. If the legs are too long inside because this wasn't done, they can bend and touch together (or the plus can touch ground inside the Head) when you screw the PT down tight and the grommet is compressed, or the legs might push the coil up into the Stack... either could create a short that could stop shorting when the pressure is released.

Fluffing your wicking where it exits the Head will help to stop gurgling. It helps to seal the gaps.

They ROCK, brother Green!!! Haven't looked back since I got "a few" ;)

Now when my 2-iStick 30W and my 2-iStick 50W co-op buys come in...I AM DONE!!! (Famous last words of a vaper!!)
G'night all...

Great to see you here brother. :)

They are the Aspire BVC for BDC glassomizers not the Nautilus. I don't think there's an internal difference aside from the tank threads but I could be wrong? Either way I have high hopes... and I LOVE my BDC's. :)
