Thank you.
I'm sold. Sign me up for an aluminum....

Is there enough space between the button flange and battery compartment on the body for maybe some kind of spongey or rubberized piece attached to the top piece around the button flange that would extend down and press against the battery keeping it place? Sorry just an idea....

You won't regret it!

Not sure if something can be added to the top cap but I can tell you with the oring on top there is absolutely no battery play/movement.

Awesome.

There is enough room to add maybe a rubber washer, if you found the right side.

However, with the supplied o-ring, the battery stays well put. In fact, I just removed my top, turned CC up-side-down, and it took me shaking with almost all of my force to get the o-ring to pop off, and then the battery started to slide out ever so gently.

Right, I was just trying to think of something more connected and "permanent" that was just there in place.

Dealing with a o-ring really isn't that big of a deal...

Got you down Eddie! Thanks, buddy! :thumb:

I'd have to do some head scratchin' on the battery hold down idea....

I would imagine a C shaped piece of foam or soft rubber epoxied to the top cap would work but would be prone to tearing and be in the way when doing maintenance. The oring is just such an elegantly simple solution and super easy to replace if you lose it.

I was picturing a foam or rubber cup with a hole in the bottom that slid down the button grabbing on it's flange with notch for the positive contact....

It would have to be the right type material. It's just an idea....

O-ring is plenty fine...

And thank you

Kind of exactly what I was picturing only sliding over the button so no epoxy needed and easily replaceable

Overthinking! :)
Battery not going anywhere with the simple o ring unless you violently shake the mod up and down to TRY and get it to move.
Wait until you get one.:thumb:
