Had my SSCC here at work today, thought I would try to make a Clear Poly Nuppin cap to see what it would look like  I think it came out pretty good :thumb:

I can say it now. You guys have no idea - or maybe you do - of the anxiety I've felt making the financial plunge and then holding my breathe waiting for my SSCCs to arrive. Wondering if I had lost my mind or gave into hype - of which I have avoided for the most part in this vaping journey - would I have regret... For any lurkers, fence riders or undecided, just do it. This is an amazing piece of machinery. The SS feels like money - hefty in the hand but solid, sleek and so comfortable to use.

Thank you especially to Slothy, B2L and Marcus - these guys tolerated all my PM over the months and tirelessly answered all my questions.

Thank you to Corey who was so patient with me wanting to make sure I was happy with every detail even when I changed my mind 100 times :)

So, without further gushing...the unboxing and first "Hello"!

The one with brassy is mine. Yes, the bottle is empty on the black one. That one's is his. He has to wait till I finish playing with mine first. Mama always gets hers first...

The build - thanks turbo!

You guys saw it first with me :)

I've been at work all day and hubs left it sitting on my table from about 10am till I came home.

He was trying to act all smooth about it...but who remembered the oring for the battery? Yeah, the one that has been acting soooo uninterested has read and watched all the videos!

Here's this little nugget again, just in case anyone needs it.......

Credit to Peter... :) (slightly edited to work better with these mods...)

The "510 internals assembly" consists of:

The +post (bottomed out in the delrin insulator)

White delrin insulator

Brass washer

Positive contact leaf

Brass Thumb Nut

This assembly functions as a complete (static) unit when cinched together.

Remove "510 Internals Assembly" from housing (or loosen off by a couple turns: see "Disassembly" below)

Install atty until it bottoms out.

Screw in internals assembly until + meets +, good and snug (but finger snug, not tool snug).

Touch finger to positive contact leaf (to act as a stop), and unscrew only the Brass Thumb Nut (which will break free of the assembly and not disturb the location of the delrin as long as you're stopping the positive contact leaf from turning with it).

Re-orient the positive contact leaf to center it over the fire button.

Tighten Brass thumb nut.

Disassembly or atty swappage. Start by loosening off the atty. The delrin (and thus the 510 internals assembly) is freed up to spin by hand once the pressure is taken off it.
