Still haven't ordered any DIY juice supplies ... Been lazy I guess.

But I can tell you for sure I am not spending another dime on new juices !!

Got 9 new flavors from 3 different vendors (all new for me) on Friday.
They were highly recommended Juices.
I spent a lot of time picking what I thought would be just right for my taste.

Out of 9 flavors I like exactly ZERO
Out of 9 flavors I will at least be able to vape ZERO

They suck .... totally suck! I don't know why I keep falling for it.
I've given away hundreds of dollars in juice.

So many places have flavors that are perfume like or floral tasting .... its disgusting to me.
(Even tobaccos ... why would a bacco tase like perfume ?)

Not going to name names because obviously others love these exact same flavors.

But I really have to get off my azz and get going on some DIY. That way if it sucks I only have myself to blame and didn't drop a bunch of cash to find out. Plus it will be fun even if I end up with a bottle of poo.

Other than that I am sticking with the following.

AVejuice - Boba's / Gorilla Juice / Hype
Liquid Express - Taboo / Honey Flue Cured

I also like Honey Beez, but I have enough to last 5 years because I can only vape it once and a while. I love the taste, but it can actually make me sick if I vape it for more than an hour a week.

I also like Baccacinno from empire mods (A RAWR exclusive) but its black as tar and that really turns me off from buying any more.

Which bring me to this.

SUPPLIERS:

Could you please post pix of the color of you juice flavors ??
Even if something tastes great it has to look appetizing too.

You neve know what your going to get.
Grape for example, I know of a good grape that is totally clear.
I've had other grapes that are dark purple like coolaid.

I prefer my juice to be in the clear to med amber color range.
Not purple pink or green. And definatly not black ... Black makes me think of the color my lungs were before vaping.

Ok, rant over. As soon as I re-cupe some of the money I dropped at the Apple store I'm ordering some Nic and flavor and getting busy.

Have a great day !! :2cool:

Once in awhile I will pick up a couple juices that sound tasty. I only grab them on sale so my loss will not be so much if they need to leave!
Most that I get have to sit for a couple of weeks before the flavor is acceptable. It really can make a big difference in taste.
You will find with your own DIY that it needs to steep.
The first batch I made went straight into a cartomizer. I coughed, my eyes even burned! I wondered what I did wrong and figured I lost money on the whole batch. Well, after a week my juices were rather tasty!
So, Tim my advice is to take those bottles and put them somewhere and after a couple weeks give them another try!

Taste buds are subjective. I've learned this the hard way. So is the sense of smell. To me, a big part of vaping enjoyment is the smell. The exhale should have a pleasant smell and not linger too badly on my clothes or in my room. One juice I tried, has a terrible terrible smell on the exhale (it smells like .. dirty laundry, smelly guy, it just stinks). This put the juice into the "only vape outside if you're really craving that flavor" category.

I also agree that some juices have an overly perfumey quality to them, and that's a huge turnoff to me. Scented candles smell good when you're burning them, but I don't want to vape them. Makes me wonder if some of the flavorings used are primarily used for products like lip balm (vs. candy). I also think the quality of the VG/PG used adds to the enjoyment factor.

I learned that no matter how much I love chocolate/toffee/coffee flavors in food/beverages, I just cannot vape them. Every single chocolate/toffee/coffee flavor I've ever tried (with maybe one exception) - it just doesn't agree with my tastebuds.

Anyway, like you I really dig the Boba's Bounty. Probably because it's a straightforward, no fuss tobacco flavor. For menthol, it's the Intellicig menthol (but it's so darn expensive, I don't buy it often). The "Basic" line that Cignot sells (their cherry and key lime pie flavors) are also good without being overly perfumey or too sweet - but again it's expensive.

Good luck in your DIY quest - fiddle around with different base mixtures as I'm sure that has as much to do with flavor / enjoyment as the actual flavoring added.

I'm glad that it's taken me less than a month to find two juice vendors that I will use exclusively. AVE, and Madvapes. I just have to remember to order from AVE early, as they take around a week or so to ship, but MV is 2 days :)

My flavors of choice so far:

AVE Boba's Bounty & Gorilla Juice (have ordered Hype & Banana Slurry to try)
MV Chocolate Mint & Cherry Cola

I've only had to throw out one bottle of juice that I couldn't stand... Juicy Clears' Timmies Double Double. Other than that, my juice container is filled with a bunch of other juices I've ordered to try. Went through them last night, and figured out I had enough to last me around 5 months

I've attempted to DIY, but realized sadly, that I have no talent for it :(

Several months ago I purchased tons of flavor concentrates most of which I strongly disliked. A couple of them even unopened would make my living room smell like a 2bit ..... house. After sitting for several weeks months some of the worst of them are my go to flavors now. Often I think the flaves and juices just need to mello and or steep.

I've found three flavors that I feel like I could happily rotate and be satisfied with and stop buying other flavors hoping to find a new love. I'll probably just bite the bullet, order a decent quantity of each, and put them away to steep while I vape thru my stash of "meh" juice.

With my luck, my buds will have flipped on me by the time I get to them and they won't do it for me anymore.

I just thought about it for a few minutes and decided that BH has the right idea. I need to learn how to DIY my own favorites instead of buying them from juice vendors. I've got nothing against the vendors, but I need a more budget friendly solution. The info is out there to guide me, I just need to take advantage of it and use it.

If any of you DIY gurus have good recipes and/or tips for applewood tobacco, cuban cigar, or Turkish tobacco (i.e. BWB's Casablanca), please drop some knowledge on this poor sap.

Once I began DIY none of the tailor made stuff tastes right to me anymore. I even forgot to bring juice with me yesterday on my trip luckily there is a supplier half way on the drive and I was able to get some juice to make it thru the weekend but I had a hard time finding a flavor I could stand but mixed with the little I had left of mine itsnot too bad.

After I started DIYing, I can't stand any "store-bought" juice. I have tried several out of curiosity, and keep coming back to the 2-3 of my own that I'm totally hooked on. Sure makes it cheap to vape.....more money leftover for more REOs....
LOL. I like MyFreedomSmokes nic juice.....and VoidMist has good juice at great prices when you catch a sale. I just got some Voidmist nic juice last week on a 50% off sale. I can make a 30ml bottle of juice for less than a dollar......

Hey Big Hitter, how much juice do you use a day? I tend to agree with you as far as the affordability factor goes and I'm gathering supplies now to start up my own DIY stash. I was also wondering how much you push through a carto since you said you tend to toss them after a day or so. Thanks, just wondering. I've been burnin through around 5-ish ml a day. I try to get more than a day out of a carto, but I'm just too cheap so I end up suffering for at least another day with a less than agreeable carto . I just can't put that Reo down, lol.
