To those who started, maintain, and share on this Forum: I would like to give you a big "THANK YOU!". Very informative place that appears to have a LOT of great people.

I recently made the decision to move into the digital age of smoking. I've never been a major smoker in any regard. First time I smoked was when I was 29, and I've never had even a half-pack in a day. Just enjoy the intermittent experience and typically was having 1-3 per day at work. I tried a disposable e-cig recently, and it reminded me a LOT of my hookah (which I hadn't gotten out in years). Wicked alternative to analogs. Then I come here and a new world has opened up. Talked with my wife tonight, and we decided to purchase a Volt Starter kit and three sampler cartos packages. Look forward to checking that out and hopefully it lasts me a while.

Welcome to ecf! Glad you found this place! I'm a baby-vaper myself at around 3 mo., and credit about 95% of what I've learned to these forums. Not sure how many cartos are in a sampler package, but if you're not a heavy vaper, they may last for several days at least I'd think--between two people. I'm sure someone with more knowlege will pop in and help ya with that!

Thanks Zooker! (Illini Fan or just last name variation?)
In each of the samplers, there are five cartos. Interestingly enough, my wife strongly stated she wanted 0% as she hasn't smoked since last year some time. I figured we'd go all 0% for me as well and see how it goes. I find that I typically don't smoke for the nicotene. But we'll find out if I'm correct about that or not soon enough.

Welcome! I too recently joined after reading a lot without joining.

Started my vaping journey December '10 and haven't looked back. Was about a pack a day smoker on and off for 18-20 years. Started vaping with a small 808 setup but wasn't satisfied with the output.

Today my wife and I are on ego twists. We switched to ego after the 808 and haven't looked back. The new twist variable voltage has opened up a whole new works adjusting the Vs depending on juices, etc. Today we ordered two provari and are excited to make those our primary. Ego will remain my public or work PV when we want to draw a little less attention.

Awesome! I got the Volt starter kit and the cowboy/country cartos to start. I just got in the smooth sampler pack and have tried the desert joe and the ry4. So far, loving all of them.

There are a lot of options, mods, juices out there. Lots of people will chime in and give their own advice and experience. All of it is in good intentions. But, here is my little piece of advice. Imagine that everyone is doing the Rorschach test. Lots of people may come away with similar results, but the only one that really matters is yours.

When you are trying the cartos, think about, hell even write down, what you like or don't like about a particular flavor. This will help tremendously when you want to ask for advice on flavors. I.E., there is a particular tobacco flavor from a vendor that I tried that was very heavy in caramel flavor. Knowing that, I can ask for a recommendation on a good tobacco flavor , but state that I don't want a heavy caramel taste.

My wife and I too are just starting on this journey. Glad to see another couple making the leap!

Although the entire post hit the nail on the head.... THAT ^ is the hammer.

I read quite a few threads and other pieces within and without this site on the Twist. I was really leaning that way. Chose the Volt, because it just seemed like a much easier way to go for two noobs who are just breaking into the world of vaping. With the reputation that Joye has (and eGo in general), I may very well have to try that out sooner rather than later.

Very pleased to read that!

Understood. One of the things that I dig about ECF is that it appears to be all-inclusive and open-minded on that very consideration.

Not a bad idea at all. Thanks.

Indeed. It's always nice to share experiences with others who are in a similar boat. :kudos:
