Yes, I agree. I do not try to convert them. It's when they see me using it, I get "You still sucking on that thing?" with a smirk. They then start to barrel down on me that I don't know what chemicals I'm inhaling, I try to stand up for myself and explain the difference between liquid and cigarette smoke but am met with stubbornness. To be fair, there is one nice gentleman I work with, probably close to 60, seemed interested from the get go, or at least he was trying to be polite. He took one of my Innovapor cards and said he'd check it out, but has never taken the next step. The only person I am trying to convert is my wife.
When people ask, they generally dont want the technical answer, but when they comment about the "chemicals" you can tell them that the E-cig consists of nicotine, flavors, and either PG or VG, both of which are in the food you eat, the medicines you take, and you can name a few other widespread uses. And, by the way, the "anti-freeze" ingredient was in your IV at the hospital and may have been in your last bottle of cough syrup. The nitrosamines have been tested to be at such insignificant levels that testing determined them not to be a cancer risk. Your well done steak has much more.
When you can spout provable facts, people will leave you alone. Of course, they might just not ask again because they don't want to hear the sermon repeated.
I wish Dan Rather was still around. 60 Minutes would be a great place to educate people.
