Ha! I've been known to do that too...play dumb that is...especially when I want to get something done and just don't want to have to do it myself! :D

I always say, "You have to be smart to play dumb". Women are much better at it.....because we're so much smarter. ;)

He's making beef vegetable soup...it's really good!

I love home made beef veg soup. My only thing is I like to put some pearl barley in it, gives it a little grain and makes it so very filling. I'd like to know how he does his, since it seems as though him and I must do our kitchen duties

I have surprisingly little accent, but I attribute that to my mom being an English teacher. But if i'm around someone with an accent I can pick it up rather quick.

Nah, you just need to embrace it and be proud! I personally love the Southern accent! Yes, I'm biased! I used to date a guy from New Yawk...and I would tease him about the way he talked!

I am proud of my Southern accent. It isn't as heavy as a lot of them are but I would never try to get rid of it. I actually have more problems with people taking me seriously because I am a woman and will admit that I do tend to play dumb at times just to avoid the hassle

I'm a Yankee liking in Tennessee. I get "y'aint from round these parts" quite a bit. Lol

I sound like a back woods hick. It's terrible, and when I was younger I used to try to "talk right" but I got over it...lol. I hate hearing myself on a recording, I'm like, "who's that hick talking... OH hell that's me!.

Regarding the southern accent, I love the sound of it, it's very nice and sweet sounding. It most definitely does not mean someone is dumb, anyone who thinks so is an ... and needs to be taught better. I may pick on Angel and Bella, but pure luck that they are southern. Don't really care where you're from I'll pick on you. It's what I do best. Thank you. and I bow to Y'all.

I understand Yankee talk quite well. I dated a New York boy for a while and we used to make fun of the way each other talked.

And me, I sound like I just stepped out of the saddle or so I been told.

Can't deny it, women were made pretty and smart so they could stay pretty instead of getting all uglied up working hard. Fine with me, I know place in life.

On the thrown of my home. I am the king of my castle and if you don't believe me ask my wife she just told me I could say that.

It's not luck we are Southern...that's by the grace of God! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! :D

Somehow that's just how I'd imagine you to sound...and like you just stepped in a big old pile of horse.... too! :D

Angel, how do you get that multiquote thing to work? I can't get it work for me ever!

I'm not Angel, although I am an angel.
Just click on that little bubble with the "+" sign by it for all but the last one you want to include. And then on the last one just click on reply with quote like normal. Hope this helps.:)

southern accents on women were what dream girls to Cali Boys were made of.
I was lucky enough as a 16 year older to get deported to Texas for a summer. I had them girls all over me, but really, I was drooling the whole time each time they talked. Cali cool went out the door when they spoke.
All the dudes back home were so jealous of me. mmm, the tales I could tell. Ok this was back in the early 60's.

I still ended up retirering to the South cause of the female accents.
mmm, makes an old man young again.....
