black boge cartoz to stainless

i got my order of the boge cartomizers (very speedy ship - thanks LF) and btw, thanks ImYourSalt for recommending them - they are great!

anyway, i had also bought a super-t 18 off the classifieds and put one of the boge cartoz on there and then saw that the black outside coating of the cartoz is just sticky paper - so i peeled it off and saw that it is a stainless steel color underneath - matches the super-t perfectly. much nicer.

I've been doing that for a while now, as they even draw better on an ego battery with the cone fitted without the coating. But cleaning the glue off is a pain. Plus looks great with a drip tip.

Use acetone to remove the glue residue. (nail polish remover).

I use "Goo Gone" that I got from the hardware store. It works PERFECTLY for getting the sticky residue off of the cartos after peeling the black paper off and off of empty juice bottles (after I've soaked the paper label off)

Old fashioned lighter fluid (remember that??) or gasoline works just fine, too...

I usually use just good ole PGA. Not as quick as nail polish remover but doesn't taste bad when you're done.

I'm going to try that!!! I wish they made boge cartos in different colors.

I haven't tried it on cartos, but a little vegetable oil or mineral oil plus some elbow grease is usually good at removing sticky stuff.
