Unless he's farming an army of nicotine enhanced vaping frogs.

I wonder if you Need a Permit in California to raise Nicotine Enhanced Frogs (NEF's) ?

    Good eye MthompLmt.

I'll have to Check and see what Protections Tadpoles fall under.

Well Florida is protective of some frogs:
    "
    Frogs

Frogs, except Pine Barrens tree frogs, gopher frogs and Florida bog frogs, may be taken throughout the year by gigs, clubs, blowguns, hook and line or manually; or by shooting with a .22 caliber or smaller firearm during daylight hours. Frog species classified as threatened or endangered may not be possessed or taken. See Rule 68A-26.002, F.A.C. at www.flrules.org for more information."
    Florida Hunting Regulations

OK, who hunts frogs with a .22? What's left of a frog after getting hit with a .22?

Can't tell from that photo the OP put up, but I'm not sure it's a gopher frog tadpole or not. If it is, I hope the OP doesn't live in FL, or they're in big trouble.

Judging from the placement of the semicolon, I'm guessing the "during daylight hours" only applies to shooting. I think a round nose bullet would just make a hole. I wouldn't recommend hollow points.

[edit] To stay on topic, the thing in the tank looks like a bit of wick to me. Could be paint though. I bought a black STM and I am NOT happy with the paint job.

A bunch of Florida rednecks in an airboat, would be my guess. We hear and see them in a section of the Peace River nearby...sometimes up until about 11PM. They're only interested in the frog's legs, so the condition of the rest of it doesn't matter. :)

What the hell is that? We were talking about frogs. Not the freaking monster from the black lagoon.

Critters grow big here in FL...frogs, alligators, snakes, etc.
