When you can buy prefilled, use them and refill the lower cost is great. If you buy packs of blanks and fill you can save even more. I started off buying some prefilled just to taste different juices. I now use those cartomizers with my own mixes, or with pre-made mixes. Bottom line, if you mix your own juice and refill cartomizers you can save the most.

Hi,

Is anyone out there filling blank cartomizrs? I'd really like to know how cost effectve ii is.

Thanks,
Steve

Almost from the start. Works like a champ and some will last for weeks. Just refill and vape - refill and vape. You bet it's cost effective.
Good luck - give it a try and see for yourself. :thumb:

The Boge are easy to fill and seem to hold up well, plus they have a tube like opening going down the middle of the wicking material that seems to keep the airflow open. I found that using a syringe to fill them from the bottom up really helps. It keeps the wick very wet and it doesn't gurgle because it keeps the juice out of the tube. That's my experience anyway.

Well, I ordered 100 blank cartomizers for the 808D-1 from a Chinese Manufacturer. They should be here in a few days. With the Western Union payment I'm going to paying .90 cents for each cartomizer. They come in 20 packages of 5 cartomizers. They guarentee all the carts so hopefully I'm going to find a cost effective way to refill. Now if I can just find a liquid that I want I'll be very happy.

Wow that's a lot! You should be set for a very long time. Not sure what they mean by guaranteeing them, though. Unless they mean they guarantee they won't be a dud. Cartos are considered disposable (meaning they are meant to be used once and pitched). Granted most people keep refilling them, and as long as you keep them wet, they will often last through several (re)fills.

Finding a juice you like is just trial and error. I have a few favorites (Velvet Vapors butterscotch and velvet vanilla) and also FSUSA butterscotch flavors (ie: hopscotch, butterscotch almond, etc). I just got an order from Honeyville Vapor and the blueberry muffin and waffle are great (even better when combined) and their tiramisu and apple pie are good too. You may find that flavors you enjoy eating, you don't like vaping (and the reverse). I love fruit flavors, but that blueberry muffin is the first fruit flavor I have found that I like. Enjoy!

Steve,
I've discovered that success in refilling the caromizers depends a lot on the viscosity of the liquid. Thick liquids make the pull really hard and gunk them up. I have a bunch of delicious 50/50 flavors here that are pretty thick. 1st fill works great, but they degrade the cartos rather fast.

So, I'm experimenting with two things...1) adding a little bit of 100 proof vodka, and 2) mixing with a neutral tobacco juice (in this case FSUSA Burley) 30mg 100% PG. Since I mostly enjoy tobacco or coffee flavors, this seems to be a happy medium and enables me to use these thicker yummy juices in my cartos.

Let us know how it goes!

YKes they meant duds and, if there are two many duds they will replace the whole order. I bought so many because there are 4 people I know that are using the same battery type so we'll split them between us. I also bought a few domains including DoctorSmoker.com. I invest in domain names.

I'm still finding out which liquids are the best for me. so far eliquidplanet seems to have the less sweetened flavors. I'm into either pure cig or cuban cigar taste and the're liquids are not too thick. i like the idea of thining them down with Vodka. I might try that.

Thanks, Steve
