Bloog chat??

Back when I was at the other guys, one of our customers set up a free chatroom for us. It only lasted a few months, then disappeared, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted.Would anyone be interested in a Bloog chatroom? Does anyone know how to set that up?

You can set it up on your website for free, it's easy, there are many ways to do it.

Leaford for a nice chat that supports more than 10 people you have to pay. A really nice one is addonchat and it runs like 125 bucks a year and has unlimited users. Its a simple addon that bloog could add a page on bloog.com to host it from. This eliminates the need to have a server and also gives bloog some admin control of the room.

Like caddyman said there are some free options out there. Most of them either spam you to death with adds or massively limit online users. Most to under 20 at a time. I have seen a few very simple ones that are not horrible though.

Have bloog check their site software. Some of them have chat modules that are part of the software.

Just use a free chat service. Mibbit is popular.

WyldRyde is popular for embedded chat and web IRC.

I don't know if setting up a dedicated IRC server is really necessary for a low-volume chat such as this, but it is an option.
