Ive used it before just straight out of the can. Do a couple blows and it clears the water right out. It might damage the wicking material, so be careful, hasnt happened to me but just thought I'd mention it.
Yep, i use an air compressor to blow out my attys all the time after i clean them. We use whatever we have in it at the time..... 10-15 psi is good though.

Aren't they still putting bitters in canned compressed air to keep folks from huffing it? I'd stick with a regular air compressor.
yeah ask someone who used to be addicted to dust off how bad the taste is, its so bad you will want to die if you get it in your mouth, btw don't put that chemical compound in a vape, just saying i don't want someone to come back ......ed.
Your safest bet is to use an ultra sonic jewelry cleaner with plain water or alcohol then let dry for 24 hours. The propellant in compressed air is toxic.
As long as you have filters on it, air compressors are a safe and effective way to dry out cartos and attys.
I can clean my cartos, blow them out, and re-fill within an hour or two instead of a day or two.
It only takes about 30 seconds to blow them out, and you will not damage them, I typically have mine set at 60 psi, it hasn't hurt a thing and done nothing but help, I just blew out 4 of them this morning and 3 are already refilled with new flavors.

I have occasionally used compressed air from a large industrial compressor at my workplace. Gave it all the pressure it had to muster, which was likely 50 to 60 psi. The compressor is used to supply air to some very expensive machines It is clean and dry.
I blew both directions in each case ... No damage to 510s nor to eGo Type B Cylinder atomizers.

You guys want to use an air compressor to blow out your attys or cartos, don't let me stand in your way.
And yes Dark, I do have an air compressor. In fact, I have three of them. And I wouldn't blow out an atty or carto with any one of them.
I wonder where the compressor oil goes when the level gets low?

I haven't ever had to add oil to my compressor, ever, and it works perfectly.

I just don’t like giving the impression to people that the use of Any air compressor is a good idea. Just because you feel your air compressor is clean doesn’t mean that All air compressor are.
I can just see some Newbie going down to Jed’s filling station and asking to use the air compressor. Because he read on the ECF that it was fine.

I completely agree with that. Safety and caution always first.
Compressors/holding tanks are a pretty common home usage thing these days tho, I see them moving out at Home Depot all the time, and that's the usage environment I primarily was referring to, but I agree about old Jed.
A regular air compressor you buy at home depot will have trace amounts of oil in the air (and water from uncompressing the air) it isnt dripping with oil though. A couple quick toots may not be harmful. Be aware it is present though.
There also seems to be some confusion between compressed air and the air duster canned air. I assumed the OP was talking about compressed air from an air compressor.

I also wouldn't consider the inside of an Air Compressor Tank or the Air Lines to be one of the most Sterile environments.
Actually compressors used in body shops must put out air with no traces of oil, water, or dirt any contamination will ruin a paint job and you would need to start from scratch they use a multi step filteration system
