Which end to blow through depends on a number of factors.

What exactly is ailing the atty.
What are you trying to fix.
The phase of the moon.
Your annual income.
Your time zone in relation to atty's ailment.
Odd or even day of your mother's brother's cousin's best friend's employer's birthday.
Color of your dog (if a cat go by gender, all other pets determination by weight).

But what if you have both male and female cats... what then?!? lol:laugh:

Go with the cat of oldest age.

As far a myths and such, jmho. You read so many posts that at times contadict each other so you get confused. then you end up going with what makes sense to yourself, whether right or wrong (or is there really a right or wrong?).

Guess alot of it comes down to one's personal comfort level. Some may feel uncomfortable or not too confident doing a dry burn. I know I was at first, some folks don't want to chance it. Economics (finances) could be a concern it that area for many.
Just my 2 cents.

thanks guys.

So generally speaking it doesn't matter, but one has to be careful not to damage atty's innards.

Also, while we're on the subject of atomizers... I find that my atty works best when "on the verge of being flooded". Basically, I know I'm gonna get good drags when I hear the gargling (at least at first, if the gargling is consistant through the whole draw I end up having to blow out the atty).

This seems to be in stark constrast to recommendations on this board.
The gurgle can also come from the cart itself. Pull the end off a 510 cart and youll see a piece with another whole, a disk that can be removed. Liquid traps in that gap, so I remove that disk, allowing you to blow flooded liquid right back to atty. If you hear a gurgle, dont tip battery up, unless you want a shot of juice. Just hold it straight till it stops. :)

I refrain from canned air in atties., connections and chargers, ok, but not coild and bridges. All airasols contain undesirables...if you doubt me, take a good huff of your precious canned air..I dare ya:)...but blow out from battery end. Clearing out air holes, not plugging them is always a good thing. The coil blocks the wick from a direct blow that could disturb a wick that is tightly packed anyhow between a piece of steel and the bridge.

I started out blowing the atty from the cart end, then I read a post that said to blow it out from the threaded end. So I tried that. Got a mouthful of juice.

So, I'm sticking with the cart end.

You have to remember to inhale that first breath through your nose before blowing out the atty !

Just Kidding ...
