I don't see the point of buying an ecig company just to become a vendor they could do that on thier own . They should have put thier money in to R&D and built a great mod and sold it for less than some of the others like the darwin or provari . I guess they wanted the customer base or something .

Bingo. Chances are pretty high that Lorillard knows absolutely nothing about the E-cig biz and just wanted to buy a company that already had experience and a large customer base so they could get a piece of the pie before the others jumped in. I'd be willing to bet if you asked a Lorillard exec what a mod was, they'd tell you it was what they called hipsters in the 60s.

Also with a shrinking customer base and lower profits, the fastest way for a company to realize/show growth and
increased revenue is to buy up others. With this move they are also diversifying. Smart move on their part. I don't see them changing much with blue, it's already sorta a rip-off.

Blu tells people what they want to hear; and that sells products. They have done a great service by converting so many smokers to vapers. Some stay with Blu and some try other things. ANYONE who helps smokers find vaping is Golden in my book.

And a smart business move by Lorillard. If Kodak had moved more to digital imaging 10 years before they did they wouldn't have ended up in the poor house.

A smart business can read the writing on the wall.

Relax! Enjoy!
