I have some Marineland (brand) that I got at Petsmart. It is a filter sleeve for aquarium filtration. Didn't see any at PetCo.
Never been in Petco when they didnt have some available, I have fish so buy those supplies often..
Hi all, newb here. I read that Marineland Rite-Size U was the proper one I had seen listed. I went to a Petco, they had half a dozen other kinds. I declined. Are they all the same?
PS: Studio 52, Meridian MS? I've used lots of Peavey gear over the years.

this is the same product I got (AND LOVE!!!)
mine was actually a cylinder to cover round filters, but it is still the same stuff.
the other stuff is more similar to pulyfil, meaning you can pull strands of it off. this stuff is a foam, not a fiberous material.

petco usually has the marineland U sleeve. Alot of them have plastic frames attached or activated charcoal in the filter. I would avoid both.
My PetSmart has been out of the Marineland size U filter for months. Every time I go in there's just an empty hole where it should be.
That being said, has anyone looked at or tried the Marineland Rite-Size "bonded filter pad" material? I looked it up on PetSmart but I don't see it cross referencing well to what I purchased. (The "item number" on line doesn't correspond to what prints on a store receipt.) In store, it's a huge package - "Pad Size: 312 square inches" - and the only Marineland filter material there in a mostly clear bag. In other words, you can actually see what the material looks like.
In store, the UPC on the package is 47431-01000
On line, I think it's this:

But that on line photo doesn't really help. The photos on ecf are better. It looks like it's the right density, based on the ecf photos but... dunno.
