Alright gang, now that many of the Blue LED Provaris have been sent out and you have them in your hands I am asking for a favor. I would like to see pics of the different colored Provaris with the blue led. Primarily the satin, black chrome and chrome.

I am torn on what color I want to go with for my blue led optioned Provari. I love the Satin because of how durable it is and that is where I am leaning but I also love the Black Chrome and Chrome also.

So please post pics :D

My Chrome! Enjoy the look. It's going back in its shell.

Looks sweet Dalton. Thanks for posting the pic. So are you going to keep it mint in it's box and not use it?

And I bet I can guess that you have GBC in there at the 5.7 volts? :D

No it's not staying in its box, but I AM going to keep it mint with the Provari hard shell I had ready and waiting for it to come out of the box. And yes, I AM vaping GBC at 5.7v :p

Get the Satin/blue led. The chrome will peel with time, the black shows scratches real easy and the gold is way too expensive and pretty ugly IMO .

I agree on the gold. I won't even buy gold jewelry. White gold yes but not yellow. I am sure some love the gold though.

I am leaning towards the satin/blue because I am not the easiest on devices. Although if Dalton would make some more of those carbon fiber shells then I could have satin or black in one unit :D

I think the red is good looking in person. On camera though the red looks like crap, I don't know if it has to do with the red eye stuff or not though.

I did order a blue led on a couple of hours ago. I went with the Satin. I like the way the satin looks and I like how durable it is. Even though I still worry about scratching it I don't think it is an issue with the satin.

I also got a couple of the 18650 batteries. I wanted to get some more of the 2500s but they are sold out.

Oh my, oh my! Do I understand your Satin vs: Black dilemma. I've got a Black w/ Blue ordered but fretted over getting satin or black chrome. I liked the black better than the satin but like you was also concerned about wear and scratches. Finally decided on the black and if / when it shows its wear - well so be it.

I'm really looking forward to it. This will be a big step up from my Joye Ego's.

You won't even want to use the ego anymore. Not even as a backup unless you absolutely have to. There is no comparison. I hope you get it soon.

yea there are a few that have the black chrome or the others....i cant vouch for the finish of the gold or chrome, but, I've had my black chrome (its actually a powder coat) provari since the summer, and so far, no scratches, dings or any other wear in the finish..... oh yea, I have dropped it on blacktop and cement (falling out of a shirt or jacket pocket) quite a few times too...I've cracked and damaged a few carto's, a tank and broken a few tips though in those mentioned drops, and the provari gets used 90% of the time, vaping every day.... like a few other mod producers, the finish has to be based on the batch it was made .....they'll never be consistant, as they are done by hand.....powder coating or plating is easy when you know what to do....but, the powder coat thickness is determined by how much is used and how well the powder sticks (held by static electricity) to the item before baking, and for anodizing, it's the voltage/current used, quality of the probes and solution used, the time it was being 'anodized'....etc....... (I used to do both anodizing and powder coating for one of my old manufacturing jobs a long while back...)

i have other mods also with powder coats...my Roughstack..you can throw that against the wall and it wont chip lol (also w/ no clear coat over it).. my GLV-3.. has a clear coat over it as well, the main coat is same as the roughstack...tough as nails, but, the black endcaps? the coating is thin along some of the edges, and it's causing it to wear under normal use lol......

As far as ive seen not many have had problems with Chrome ProVaris peeling and if they do it has a warranty and you get it replaced. The black does not show scratches as easily as you think it does (I know because i owned one) but i do agree with you that the Gold is ugly but im not much of a Gold fan in the first place.

I'm hoping it was just that one guy and not too many others who had the peeling issue around the logo with the chrome. The black will scratch, but in fairness it's fallen off my end table onto the ceramic container that I keep my juice in next to the chair, and hit it hard enough to knock a good size chip off. So it does take a pretty good whack to scratch it, I think it's pretty durable, the black chrome finish. I'd be interested also if Dalton wants to make us any of his shells, although I've not seen one...His pic of the chrome is the best looking one I've seen...
