Blue lightening tube 5v help

Ok so the blue lightening tube finally came back in stock (WOO HOO!!) but being a modding noob I'm not sure if I got everything I need to make it a 5v. the tutorial for it says to just add a regulator to make it 5v but doesn't specify how. Can anyone lend a hand? I want to make sure i don't screw anything up.



Horn style switch -- Blue

So it does. Not quite sure why I posted in here. I'll see if i can get a mod to move it.

To answer your question, a simple regulator mod, run your + wire from the battery to your switch. The other wire from the switch to pin 1 of the regulator, pin 2 of the regulator goes to battery ground, and pin 3 of the regulator goes to your atty + connection.

keyzgirl if you dont mind the slighty bigger (and much longer run time) of the goldrush mod Welcome to Ace of Vapes - E-Cigs, Mods, and Supplies sells the goldrush already setup for 5v and it runs on 2 18350's. fresh off the charger it runs about 5.5 5.4 depending. but it settles down to 5.

Thanks taste, that helps alot. Now what about adding an LED?

To add LED hook a 470 ohm resister to the same lead that's between the switch and atty connector. The long leg of the LED goes to the resistor and the short leg goes to ground. The LED is polarity specific!

kewl, I'm going to have to try to drawl up a diagram or I'm going to get confused as hell when I try to do it lol.

ok so basically I would run the short leg of the LED to the ground then run the long leg to the resistor that I would in turn run to the Vout pin?

Correct, the + volt out comming from the switch to the atty.
