Hey, guys. Ordered a small 12 mL bottle of Boba's. I exclusively use Smoktech single coil 2.0 single-hole punched Smoktech cartos in Smoktech tanks.

I've tried Boba's before at my cousin's, and I've been wanting to try something different. But since it's such a thick juice, should I alter the hole to make it a tad bigger? I have a Smoktech carto punch tool, and I've been practicing on dead cartos.

Baditude, maybe you could help? Should I punch another hole, or make the factory-punched hole bigger? Should I leave it alone? Just wondering.

Probably, but you'll likely only get a tankful out of that carto no matter how many holes you use. The problem with Boba's, in my experience, is not the holes in the carto.

Boba's has so much particulate matter in the juice that it clogs up the filler material in the cartomizer. The juice will wick to a point, then is blocked by the tiny particles. The draw will become very tight, with resulting decrease in flavor and vapor production. At least this is true with my bottle of juice.

I've come to believe the only way to successfully vape Boba's is in a bottom feeding box mod. No filler or wicking to get in the way, just continuous straight dripping.

Luckily for myself, Boba's was never a favorite of mine. I never liked Honey Graham Crackers, and this is what it tastes like to me.

When I used carto tanks I added 1ml of PGA to 100ml bottle of BB to thin it a bit. It wicks bett but still clogs the carto quickly. Next I went to bottom feeder with 306 attys, they lasted longer but had to clean them quite a bit. Now I only vape BB in a Pheonix clone. Much better results, I do a dry burn every couple of days and make a new coil/wick every two weeks. It'll hold 8-10 drops so it lasts a long time between dripping. I can drive to work without having to drip or take a nice vape break. The vapor and flavor beat everything else I've tried. I do 1.8 ohms at 4v and its perfect for me. Also they are <$10, I have quite a few of them.

Dubv87, I'm right there with you. When I tried it, I equally loved and hated it. That sounds like an oxymoron, because it is. But I still want to experience it on my own. Sometimes flavors are inexplicable. I also want to experiment with thicker VG juices. I've been vaping 80/20 pg/vg and I want to stretch my wings a bit. I figured Boba's would be a good springstone.

Also, how the hell is AVE getting away with Boba Fett's likeness on the webpage?!

EDIT: Are AVE juices pre-steeped?

i'm nearly ready to just buy an amp tank just to vape my bb.

i've been using boge f16 carto's and they're been doing okay-ish. i have to fist one end and suck on the other (it's not what it sounds like!) so i can plug the airflow and pull juice into the carto. really annoying. they do last me a good while if i have a good batch however. i guess a week? i don't really count. last night i opened up my vape mail.... now the T3's are gonna have a go. hope i didn't mess it up when i got rid of one of the wicks, shoulda been sober when i did that lol.

i've used it in gen's, but i need an out and about pv. i can't be dropping even a clone or having it drip liquid in my pocket while i've been drinking... or dancing... or falling and breaking on the floor while dancing drunk lol... cause that recently happened last friday =/

My experience, never talked to anyone at AVE, is that their juice is not pre-steeped, and I have vaped a lot of AVE juice. BB and GJ were all that I vaped from about my second month of vaping to about my sixth or seventh month, and I continued to vape them, along with other juices from various vendors, after that.

On one order several months ago, when I received my bottle of GJ it was kinda slightly red and very translucent (GJ is anything but translucent as you know), I looked at it and freaked, what the heck is this, was what I was thinking. Calmed down, decided to set it aside for awhile and see what happened. Well, I checked on it two or three weeks later and it was now the deep dark reddish color that I had always known GJ to be. Filled a carto and waited awhile, tried it out, and it was probably the best GJ I had had at that point. This was all before they moved to California so they may do things differently now, I don't know.

So the bottom line is let it steep. Whenever I get an order from AVE, I don't vape too much BB or GJ anymore, but dearly love Hype, and I am in the process of trying their full line, I always stash it away for a couple of weeks before putting it to use.

Well, I got Boba's Bounty.

1) My first foray into punching cartos went... Ok... at first...

2) Boba's Bounty... something about it... Yes, it tastes exactly like raisin bran... But... It's good! Really good! I didn't think I'd like it, as I'm skeptical of anything EVERYONE raves about. And I'm not necessarily RAVING about it, but it's good! I can vape it. A lot of it. I'm already down to 6 mLs out of a 12 mL bottle!

3) Refilling the tank. Gah. I cussed a lot during this phase. Like Baditude warns, self-punching cartos will bend it out of shape. I had a hell of a time trying to slide it down the tank. The bottom o-ring popped off and I lost about a mL of juice. Did I say I cussed a lot? I managed to wrangle it back in, but I realized I'm going to have to practice a lot more with this carto punch tool for this to work.

4) Will I re-purchase Boba's Bounty? Hell yeah!

5) To anyone on the fence with Boba's: It's thick as heck and will take a lot longer to prime an XL carto than usual. And the taste? Polymorphic, but I definitely taste raisin bran. But like I said... Lord knows why, but it's GOOD.

EDIT: Tastes like raisin bran mixed with pipe tobacco. There, that's a better description.
