Boge carto's are inconsistent.

I've been buying boges since I got my provari(about 6 months ago). I buy in bulk- 2 boxs of 10 -packs. I like to vape at 5V using MsTs E-juice. I have had to buy from different vendors because my main shop (goodprophets) barely ever has them in stock. So theirs was good, maybe 1 bad one a pack, now I have the same exact standard black 3 ohm boge cartomizers. Now these ones are really.. Ticking me off. After filling up the carto's with around 30-35 drops, maybe 1-2 out of every 5 pack starts to burn after maybe 20 pulls. Is their a certain way to store them? Keeping them cold-warm or anything? I know it's not the juice bc the same juice was doing fine on my last batch of carto's. Its getting very frustrating, Any tips would be appreciated, bc 1 or 2 out of five is rediculous. Oh and I checked the ohms also, so I'm stumped- thanks

I have not had any big issues with Boge cartos! I'm buying 50 from Vaporbeast.com for 59 bucks with free shipping so I hope I'm ok! Maybe I'll just get 15 of them for $19.95 but my experiences have been positive with Boge cartos! I'm using with my Provari and I was told 20 to 25 drops of liquid was optimum, so maybe your using to much juice? Also try using a tank, as this seems to prevent the cartos from drying out, especially at higher voltage! Of course you would have to switch over to the stainless Boge cartos for this!

There should not be any difference in vendor to vendor on the Boge cartos since they all come from the same factory. If you having some inconsistencies and you are doing every thing the same it may be more of bad luck on getting an above average of under performers.

What I mean is, say there is a big bin that has 10,000 cartos from a production run. A certain percentage might be bunk. For arguments sake lets say 5% (know telling actual #'s). When they reach in the bin to grab 5 cartos to stuff in the box that 5% will not be evenly distributed it will be more random. So that being said the % of bad cartos will also vary randomly for the vendors as well.

Yea I have the vapomotatic tank with some spare cut stainless steel carto's, I'm somewhat of a noob, and for about a day or two, then I started having problems again with it. Now that I think of it, the only variable to this situation was lowering my nicotine dose from 14mg to 6 mg, I think that's the issue, could it be?

Are you using LR or SR Boge cartos? If you are using SR, I would suggest LR cartos. I use these and have never had a problem. Also, like Hottody, I purchase these from Vapor Beast...15 for under $20, pretty good deal.
LR carto's using 5V? That never works, it always burns right away. I have some spare LR carto's but I thought LR would be really bad for such a high voltage.

The only variable to this setting that I just thought of was switching from 14mg to 6mg of nicotine, could this be the problem? Is the juice too thin when using lower mg's of nicotine?

i found that some of the juices that are thinned down with water will cause what you are describing. for example, high caliber brand juices have added water and they start burning quickly. when i used the high caliber juices in a carto with a tank, it eliminates the burning. i rarely use a carto without a tank anymore. only time i use a carto by itself is for discreet vaping on my ego. i use halo juice in that situation and that juice seems to work without any issues.

I use MsTs, I hope she doesn't water down her juice because that juice is exspensive! But does she? And I'm going to clean out/clean up and start using the tank again. Can there be a "bad carto" while using a tank? No right?

The pg/vg ratio is the only thing that would affect the thickness of your juice, not the nic level. Boge cartos have had qc issues for awhile now. I buy several boxes at a time and it is always a crap shoot as to how many will work properly. For the price, I think they are worth it.

Yup that's whats happening to me now, I mean I got lucky with my last batch I've maybe had only 10 that were duds. So I starting using my tank a couple of days ago, it was working great! After 3 days of using them I was almost filling them to the rim, and I started getting the gurgles, and put it away because I haven't really mastered it yet. But I just cleaned the entire thing and it's working again. I'm thinking my only mistake was filling the tank with to much juice and when I sealed it there was to much pressure built up. So I think I finally got it down now. I wouldn't call myself a master with it just yet, but I'm getting there. Final question, could there be a "dud" or "bad carto" while using a tank, as in can a bad one effect my tank vaping? And also how long can a carto usually last using the vapeomatic tank or tanks in general?

Based on my own experience, I can assure you Ms. T's Bakery juices are not watered down or thinned out in any way. If anything, some flavors are a little too thick for cartos.

Lately, I've also noticed an increase in malfunctioning (burning smell & taste) Boge cartos right out of the box. I used to find one dud every now and then but recently I've had a few boxes with three out of five bad ones. I've had this experience with both SR and LR cartos.

It's a little upsetting but the price is good and I keep plenty on hand.

I had one a couple weeks ago that wouldn't wick in my tank. Fortunately I was using a tank with a side port fill hole. Every few vapes, I would take the screw out, vape once and put the screw back in.. venting the tank every once in a while let me get over a week out of that carto. It was a hassle but it worked great. I drill fill/vent holes in all of my tanks that I make or buy now. I've only used a few boges but none of them wicked as well as smoktechs. I don't buy them anymore.

So coming down to this. I love boges, just that quality control issue. Is there another 510 carto that's pretty much as good as the boges like smoke tech's? Never tried them, and I remember when I purchased my provari, I purchased provapes 510's carto's that they say are made for the provari, and all 5 worked great. You get them discounted, BUT 20 5 packs cost 170$...-screw that haha.
