On a fresh charge my meter reads 3.688 volts unloaded. I have not put it on the oscilloscope so i cannot positively state that this device oscillates like the joye devices and copies but i am betting it does oscillate between 3.7 & 3.2-3 volts. What i can tell you is this is the best performing production device to come out of China that i have tested and i have tested almost everything. From my first looks it has a modified version of an 801 atomizer but the bridge has increased in size considerably as well as the performance. I never liked the super light draw of an 801 either 2-hole or 4-hole versions. They always were just too light for me but this device has a very nice draw, not too easy but not too firm. The cartridges that came with my unit are the hard plastic 801 style tips and i had a hard time getting them to push in all the way. This caused the draw to suck air in around the cartridge and produced such a light draw you could not tell you were inhaling. I simply swapped to the softer rubber style which is most common and the fit is perfect and the draw is now perfect in my opinion. This device literally explodes with vapor. Where as a normal draw on a 501 takes 4-6 seconds to produce a nice inhale, this device does it in a 2-3 sec draw. I have only been using the first atomizer for 3 days so i cannot state how long the atomizer will produce this performance but if it continues for a couple of weeks before dwindling then this device will replace all my others as my daily device. I am a heavy vaper (7-10ml/day) and the battery lasted about 6-7 hours before depleting. The atomizer that came with it reads 2.5 ohm (net) on a 2-wire meter but i can tell you the output from this device exceeds the norm for this configuration. I have not disected the atty as it is new but i am curious as to where they got this performance from the calculated wattage this device should produce. This device has TH better than my normal high-drain large battery (1600mAh) device with a LR 510 atty. I am also impressed with the flavor the atty produces, but perhaps i am just accustomed to the lack of flavor the LR Attys produce. It may be the first time i actually tasted many of the juices i use. The snap on cover is a nice feature and i am sure we'll be seeing knock offs with this feature soon. I wish they had put a pen clip on the cover like a fountain pen has so it could be clipped on a shirt or pocket but maybe next generation... My ONLY dislike with this unit so far are the absolutely silly colored crystals on the end caps ;O) I just don't understand the Chinese need for bling, nor their definition of "fashionable". I personally would like to see Boge quickly offer solid metal end caps and put some knurling on them so they are easier to screw/unscrew as the ones now get slippery when a bit of juice gets on them. I know this was probably overkill for your question so forgive the run-on.

The standard Leo produces 3.3v under load. The newer pass through version Leo produces 3.5v under load (these numbers are per the R&D dept. of Boge). My original Leo battery and atomizer are still kicking out huge vapor and flavor after about a month now. I cleaned it once by running it under hot water, blowing it out and putting 2 drops of juice into it to prime it (used RY4). I stuck in a filled cartridge and vaped away. No hours of drying or anything. I do know Boge made this atomizer to last a long time. The atty is so thick walled it just barely gets hot externally with continuous huffin on it. The bridge and wick are enormous and vaping with it produces huge, thick clouds. I'm waiting to get pulled over in the car while using it as I easily fill my interior with vapor. Oh and the tastes! It's like vaping my juices for the first time and actually tasting them the way they were meant to be tasted.

I ordered separate sets, batteries and attys for the Leo since my original test unit and I have to say they are just outstanding devices. Though I am the opposite and found the hard tips a better draw for me. My hard tips fit in snugly but not too snug.

I know a lot of ppl like a lighter draw, especially many who were very early vapers when only the 801/302 pen styles were around and all had a very light draw. I also have had many folks tell me the reason they did not like their first experience with vaping when trying to leave cigs was that the draw was too firm so i always handed 1st time tryers one of my 801s and they liked the easy draw. I think this is going to be a very successful device for Boge and if a simple change of cart type can accomadate different preferences that is even better.
Also, thanks Jackal for the info from a longer test period! It's good to know what to expect. Like I said, if it continues to produce like it does new and i could get even 1 month out of an atty this good it will be my goto device. I had wondered if Boge was working on some new longer-lived atomizer designs after looking at their upcomming device the Revolution which appears to have an atomizer that cannot be replaced. I don't know about that for sure and will leave that for another thread anyway...

Jackal3 where did you buy it?

I bought all mine from Boge in China. My Leo pass through was sent to me by Boge to test and review, as was my first regular Leo.

I have full reviews on both the regular and the pass through version Leo here on ECF. I will also be reviewing the Revolution when it comes out.
