So I got my Boge LR cartos that I ordered and they are great. I wanted to experiment with cartos a bit again since I barely used them for a minute and went onto clearos.

When I fill the Boges they are wet. Like, slushy wet. But after maybe 2-3 vapes I can look at them on my PV and the top is almost bone dry. They still vape fine using the liquid that is still in the there but they obviously dry from the top down which makes it hard to gauge when you are running out. I know with cartos you can't really wait for that burned taste and must always fill ahead but so far I cant eyeball it and am just filling when I imagine I might be low. If anyone is using these, fill one and smoke it a little and you will see what I mean. They have great flavor and performance (better than clearomizers) but there is guesswork involved which I why I like clearos.

I did not like boge cartos at 1st for that reason, now that i use them in a tank they work much better keeps them juiced up.The xl dc cartos are much better for non tank use imop hold more juice but these days i use them in tanks also.I did not like tanks at 1st but when they are used correct they are great, the Bella and ellegance are my tanks of choice so easy to use and cartos last a long time then.

Yes punching holes is neede but very easy i have been using 1 nail for a long time to punch mine. Some buy devices for punching the nail i use works pefect 2 holes done.Hoosier vape has the tanks i'm using they get different ones in stock as far as colors. All you do is insert carto in bottom piece mark 2 holes close to bottom take it out punch holes ware you mark it.Quick tap you here the metal pop. Then fill carto with juice put it in tank fill tank put top piece on done.
I didn't want to mess with the tanks at 1st but i'll tell you once you learn how to use them correct it is very easy and the best no messing with topping off all the time.

Yeah I will look into them. There is just no way I can deal with topping them off every 10 vapes or so. Its not practical for me. Plus, if im out drinking or at a party - forget it. But I like the taste I get from these Boges so I am willing to put some work in and explore this setup. Thanks!

Swer...it took me awhile to switch to the cartomizer tanks..but now it is all I use. When I first started with tanks there was a learning curve..but once you get past that it's heaven.

Yes I think they are the best of both worlds from the looks of it. Hit and flavor of a carto with ease of use and trasnparency like a clearo. Gonna get one and see. What do you use out of curiousity?

I can answer that for you, since I know Iowa Gal so very well ;)...she uses jonboy USMC Lava tanks and Unique tanks! :)

I guess I'm going to have to get in line for one of those fancy tanks, too, ty. My experience with tanks has been pretty dismal, so I always end up back to my Boges, topping off after every 10 - 15 puffs or so. I have a ViVi Nova that I just got, filled it up with a liquid and didn't like it; didn't like the liquid and didn't like the draw. Now that I have my Swiss Almond I may give it another try.

Yeah I can't be doing with topping off. I am already sick of opening it up lol. Tank setup might be the way to go for you also. I am gonna buy one this week and see whats doing.

I use the smoktech DCTs... you can get 6ml the tank for about 12$ which fits well on top of the lavatube/provari/vmax. Youll have to use the XL Boge cartos unless you get the tanks cut down.

Ive been wanting one of the fancier tanks, but I just dont see a reason to switch right now-

They work just fine and are a great starter tank.

I punch my boge cartos with a 2.50$ saddle valve. You can get one at any home improvement store and they work well.

Ended up getting what seem to be known as the Texas Tuff Tanks with pre punched cartos. LOVE it so far. The draw is perfect and the taste does not suffer at all since I am using a cartomizer. Found a vendor that sells prepunched boges - the exact same ones that I had but with the holes punched in there already. And they only charge $1 to punch the box of them.

I've been using it an hour only but so far it is the best setup yet. With the Ego Twist it's even better. So far it seems to be the best of both worlds but with none of the drawbacks - clearomizer + cartomizer. No guesswork, no taste dilution and NO TOPPING UP! Bahahaha! Thanks all for steering me in the right direction. I will remember you when I am king.

Well if the Vivi is not for you this one would be. Since there is no wick - you're just adding a tank system to your existing cartomizer. It's the next logical step. They're cheap too. I paid $12 for mine. I don't know how people do not go insane topping cartos off every few minutes : -/ Even when i'm at home doing nothing it irritates me. If i'm out and about forget about it.

I like the Vivi for the ease of the use, but yes, there is a taste hit to it and the draw can be iffy when its unmodded. I have yet to attempt refilling the cartos on this thing but as far as use goes, I have been vaping all morning (Orange Cream) I have yet to top up (refill) and the flavor is always there because it is always "dripping" so I am very impressed.
