I used a cell phone battery with leads that mad a 90 degree bend [ie: on top and the side type of leads].

Took 2 u-shaped halves of paper clips that were pretty snug fitting on the battery.

The wire is an RCA cable with the outer crown ripped off so you can shove it into a 1/4 inch phono jack [from radio shack]. The inner post of the RCA makes the possitive connection for the atty. Take the loose wire from the RCA [from the crown], and wire it to the outer ring of the phono jack for negative. Solder the center post to long flap on the phono jack for stability.

Take the other end of the RCA jack cable and attach one to the paper clip on the battery.

Get another u-shaped paper clip piece and attach the other wire to it [twist around and held down by tape :p]. Take that u-piece and balance it on the insulated by tape u-piece that already has the other wire attached. take the rubber band to hold down the open side of the u-piece so it will rock open. It will press down onto the other u-piece connected to the battery to complete the circuit and produce happiness.

Heck...i'll just make another video to explain it soon :p

CC:
Take a pic of your gear and post it up here and i'll run some thought of how to piece it together to work for ya and maybe save ya some time and cash on the shipping.

Crash:
I'm not sure about the safety of charging lions from nimh. I do know that blackberries have some clickie buttons that i'm planning on using to spruce up my mods to make them a little nicer.

ok...so i've made some revisions to both mods. I've given up tape for simplicity and lack of stickiness. I just traded out for more rubber bands :D The cellphone battery mod I gave to a coworker to get off the analog kick. He absolutely loves it. I might even start putting an actual button and charging doodad on it to make it more legit.

The 6volt mod v2 had the button in the middle of the 2 wires, and it was ok, but it was a hassle to mannage. You had to have 2 or sometimes even 3 hands to weild, whereas the v1 you needed 3 or 4 :p I also ditched the tape in this rev to make for easier battery replacement, but I plan on getting a charging port put on soon.

V3 has the button moved up onto the atty area. The v2 had issues with wires slipping off because of all the weight of the curly cable.
