8.3 ounces isn't heavy. It is just "big boned". And it is beautiful.

And im perfectly happy with it ....
Anyways love the mod, ill be your customer if you decide to make em for the masses!

She's all about that bass, 'bout that bass, no treble...... :D

Yes, I have a teenage daughter.

Turk, I've been kicking that idea around...... Of course, I'd have to seriously shave some hours off the build time to make them affordable.....

Now that the prototype is basically done and working extremely well, I think I can cut a few hours out. I'm gonna need a bigger mill at some point though, I can already tell..... This one is working like a champ, but I have to take more passes taking smaller bites than I would with something with a bit more power and rigidity....

Believe it or not guys I managed to convert her majesty to the squonk thing. It's been 5 days now that she's rockin' a Reo Mini with an RM2 and lovin' it. I made her first BF mod and since she really likes the small form factor I came up with a dibie mini running on an 18490 for her. I'm finishing it with True Oil and hopefully it will be dry enough to buff later today and I'll take some photos and post them for you.

Beautiful work as usual CC, very very nice.
I know what you mean about shaving a few hours off the build, some of the steampunk and copper mods i have built have taken so long to construct and finish I just can't sell them, I have had offers, but if I entered into negotiations I imagine it would go something like: "well the parts cost around $40, tooling destroyed during build around $15, consumables $5 ( looking good right?) and labour hours oohh.. about a gazillion $$$.
You get so attached to each build it's like putting a lovingly reared child up for adoption. I so respect your ability to build two at once, I have tried that, thinking at least I can pass one on, it's never worked out yet, the alluring draw of a new and different build is the real driving force I suspect for many of us, and trying to make another of the same is for me at least rarely appealing, if you decide to go into production all power to you your work will sell.
Off to the next shiny bottom fed horizon :)

Even though I Sketchup and plan my tougher builds before I start, I invariably have to sort out issues on the fly. If I built mods in stereo it would only double my frustration... I have built duplicate mods but only after I've muddled through the proto...props to CC for pulling out off.

I like to give myself an entirely different frustration...I build multiple different mods simultaneously...a product of my ADHD...when one starts to p#$$ me off, into its tub it goes and I'll move on to another (sometimes scavenging parts from one to another)... it definitely slows the process but I get a lot of "eureka" moments building that way.

you shouldn't be allowed to talk about mods you aren't going to show us

it's just not fair and quite mean of you to do so

Considering this is a non-standard dibie knock off I'll show you a shot next to mine so you can compare the size. The small one I made for my wife is running an 18490 and for those of you who noticed she asked me for as large as possible squonk hole with rounded edges so her delicate fingers don't get hurt from squonking

Of course I need to mention that this design belongs to Peter (pdib on ECF) who makes the original Dibie (Oliver Mod) and is one hell of a woodworker but not only. Peter designed the Nuppin BF atty which you can see on my blue dibie. It's an incredible BF atty with amazing flavor. Despite making several of his beautiful mods (yes I'm obsessed with the dibie) I'm on Peter's list for 2 of his amazing mods. For those of you who aren't familiar with Peter's amazing talent feast your eyes on this
