I work in kinda dirty environment and was wondering if over time the botton on my ss might get worn and sloppy. I have already noticed a gritty feeling with it and even stuck for a micro second once.
Is there something that can be put in the tube or on the button to keep it sliding nice and not wearing out?
I can spell...kinda .... I meant button:rolleyes:

I suppose it could wear over time. It's got a pretty large surface area, so even if gritty it'd probably take quite a long time to wear, though not impossible given the environment you work in. Way back when i was 19 or 20 i used to work logging and when we were out in the woods skidding in logs, it was a nasty environment, nothing was immune to getting clogged with dirt, so it's a tough environment to work in.

One thing nice about the super six though is the switch can literally be removed in about a second, allowing access to it for cleaning, which is about the only thing you can do, is periodically clean it.

I once worked at a metal fabrication shop and the grit from all the grinding would just ruin anything electrical so we used to literally duct tape up all the electronics (any crack or entry into them) to keep them working, though duct tape isn't going to work on a ecig.

You may want to consider some type of carrying case, one that maybe has easy access for you as i know it can be pain to get them out sometimes.

I posted this in the other thread but I have this (well David does now since my T1 is on it's way back to him for cleaning and I put it inside this case when I shipped it back to him) and it works great!

It will hold the S6 without the atty attached and it's waterproof.... I don't know what environment you work in but this may help... Not sure if it's dust and grime proof but for a few bucks it's worth a shot...

I work outdoors and I've had the same issue with my S6. Once my job is over I usually run a paper towel through the inside of the body and then wipe off the outside of the button. That always seems to resolve the grit sound.

The blue tube fits the S6 nicely, many thanks go out to Drozd. They were so cheap I bought a few, a little big for the Vapre 51, but perfect for the VP2.

No problems...I actually found a place online and got a case of them for $20..but it's an assortment of all 3 sizes..total of like 46 of em or something
