And have many questions, as there were no instructions and I really don't want to blow my head off today!!

I bought it on a whim, I had the new Eleaf iStick and could never get a good connection after a week or so?? I ended up returning it. I really liked it, the size and was working great until one day... I was wanting to graduate from the "ego pen" style to something with a bit more power. I then reminded myself not to buy something when it first comes out, because the bugs most likely have been worked out, and apparently that is what happened with me.

So, I just popped into a local vape store after getting my eyes checked, had been there before and the guy was a jerk, but whatever.. I saw this Kamry all silver mod for $41 and said "what the hell" and bought it, had no idea what I was buying, just couldn't afford much.

But have been doing some reading here about it (found a GREAT thread, but now can't find it) but my confusion lies in which way the battery goes in? Positive in? And then there was this little green chip that I had NO CLUE what it was for, or how to use it. Still don't. But have read that the thing could explode if you don't have it, blah blah...

So, how DO I use the thing? I have a i30 iclear I bought at the same time.

Can someone please help me on how to use the green thing, I had been using it to charge the batteries, without knowing which way it went and on which end... then saw somewhere you use it while vaping?? What do I do while charging? I got the kit with 2 sizes of batteries and other jive. Now starting to get frustrated, it's not firing every time and it's just WORK. I'm now at the point I need to charge the 18650 and switch to the small guy 18350. Do I use the chip while vaping with jr. battery, or while charging the big one?

I really would like to get a box mod, but don't have enough ($20+) to get another iStick (or a larger box mod), so am stuck with this for now.

Sorry for the rambling, hope someone can help. :) Thanks in advance!!

The green chip is a simple regulator. It keeps the battery from over draining and getting too hot while using the mod. I personally have never used it. It is optional. You do not use the chip to charge the batteries. The batteries go into the mod positive side up. The Kamry is a straight mech mod, meaning that it has no regulation. It just pumps the battery power into the atomizer. In my opnion, using a regulated mod will give you a better vape because you can adjust the power settings to your liking.

Here are a couple links to help out getting started with mechanical mods. Get good batteries first. The ones that Kamry gives you are junk. My first mechanical was a K101 with an iclear 30s. It worked pretty well with a Kick 2. I have heard good things about Aspire's new sub ohm tank. It has drop in coils so you won't need to rebuild. Have fun and be safe.
