1 You can upgrade it to 120w ect, up to you.. ipv4 upgrade software for 120w with Ti wire 100J test_product upgrate_Download_IPV Electronic Cigarette -

2 Spitting, what wattage are you using, are you doing lung hits with plenty of airflow (afc open). The main factor could be your juice, this tank doesn't really like high PG juice..

1) oh i thought the ipv4s is already updated with that when it comes.

2) rba using at about 40-60 watts. airflow opened fully. using fcukin flava cool berry 60pg 40vg

The iPV4s is basically the iPV4 with that update and the charging board removed. As far as I know there isn't another update. If you want to be sure, check the TC mode and see if it supports titanium wire. If so, you are all good. Can't help with the tank spitting since I don't have one, but my guess would be thin juice and low power.

1) do i need to update any firmware of the ipv4s?
Nope, the IPV4s comes with the updated software.

2) tfv4 tank spitting :( tri coil / rba ( rewicked twice ) any advice?
In my experience the tri-coil will spit at anything under 80w. No experience with the RBA.

that tank loves to be 70W and higher. I got my best vape from it around 100w. so tootle puffin it at 40w with a high PG juice is gonna have issues.

And of course....

1. No firmware upgrades yet for ipv4s, its pretty much the ipv4 with the upgraded firmware 120w/ 100j in ti mode and 50j in ni200 mode, no more glass mirror finish, battery charge port all covered up

2. Before u pull, do a ... Reverse pull, if that made sense, press fire button, but instead of sucking air, u are blowing/forcing air back into the tank, the result would be all four airflows will vent out vapor, do that within 1 to 2 seconds and then take ur pull right after, u SHOULD have no spit back

1 It may come already updated depending on how new it is

2 Maybe the higher PG is causing the spitting

Nope, the IPV4s comes with the updated software.

I use 24G N80 in my drippers. A single coil at 3mm and 8 wraps... I would prolly hit it with 30W for starters and work up from there. And that would only be in a RDA with big airflow to keep it cool. For the same coil with KA1 wire, I would prolly start at 35W. But anything over 50W to a standard single coil is gonna be SUPER hot. In a RDA I use 28G KA1 8 wraps @ 2mm. About .8 ohms. I don't know anyting about your tank though. It may have enough air to cool a bigger coil.

why doesnt anyone use the single rba coil that is given? .. werid..
I think a single coil would be a waste for that tank.
I've been eyeballing it, but I can't see me spending $20 on coils, so the RBA head would be my choice. But it only comes in single and dual. Without seeing one first, I wouldn't believe that I could get bigger clouds out of that tank with 2 coils than I can with the tanks I already have. The build deck would have to be HUGE. If I see one and think I can shove a pair of 8 wrap 1/4" claptons in it, and I think it can wick them properly, I might think about it. Otherwise, it's just another juice hog with expensive prefab coils. Pass.

Because some of us were cheap and didnt buy the full kit and therefore didnt get the single coil RBA. I wasnt interested in a single coil anyway so I opted to buy the cheaper setup, and then order a pack of quad coils and the dual coil RBA. :)
