Bought my firsr e cig-Joye eGo tank

Hello fellow Canadians,

i just joined this forum and have learned so much in the 2 days I've been on it.
I found an online shop in Ontario, (onestopeshoppe.com) that sold the starter kits and e-juice and took visa, which I prefered to email $ transfers.
I spoke to a nice guy on the phone, helped me pick out my kit and I was thrilled to discover that I could buy e-liquids with 'something more' added to it, (not sure if I can mention what is in the e-liquid on this forum in Canada).
I bought a Joye eGo T starter kit 1000 mah (whatever that means) for 79.99$
e-liquids: a 20% RY4 caramel tobacco and a 20% peach one.
Also bot' a CE2 clearomizer 2.6-2.8 ohms, ( again not sure what this is but a reviewer on his site mentioned that whatever the tips or vessels that come w/the kit can leak and he bot' one of these clearomizers to solve this problem.. So I copied him!
I'm a pack a day benson and hedges sapphire smoker and need to quit pronto to improve a medical condition. I'm such a compulsive smoker, it's frightening to think of not having nicotine & quitting w/ the traditional methods (patch, crazy pills, lol)! I hope this works for me.

I wonder, was this a good e cig kit choice for me? I think so, but would appreciate any input/advice from all you gurus!
salut!

Looks like a good start. I'm sure you'll be looking at other things to buy, but this will do you nicely. The 1000mah means how long the battery will last before you need to recharge it. A rough rule of thumb is 100mah = 1 hour. So you should get a good 10 hours from this. The ohms on the clearomizer means resistance to electrical current. The lower the ohms, the higher the current and the faster you will drain your battery. However, it will give you more vapor and a hotter vape. Don't worry. Like rest of us, you'll be poring through threads, absorbing information, stalking the mailman, and be and old hand at this in no time. The amount of information you'll find here is overwhelming at first.

Sounds like a good place to start! Enjoy. And welcome to the Canadian forum. There's a few threads here with relatively similar subject matter. Most people will suggest getting a pack of boge low resistance cartomizers, or a stardust.
Also bot' a CE2 clearomizer 2.6-2.8 ohms, ( again not sure what this is but a reviewer on his site mentioned that whatever the tips or vessels that come w/the kit can leak and he bot' one of these clearomizers to solve this problem.. So I copied him
the ohms is the amount of resistance the heating coil has. The higher the number, the cooler the vape. So low resistance is like 1.5 -2.0 ohms. Lower resistance makes for warmer, more abundant vapour clouds, and more flavor.

welcome and congrats. i too just started weeks ago with an eGo C and am happy with it.

a quick note on the tanks, which helped me. If you don't hear that crackling sound of liquid in the atty or a whistling adjust the seal between the atty and the top of the tank by just turning the tip back and forth a bit. most of the time that is it.

most of the time it works perfectly, and when it doesn't i can always fix it by unscrewing/re-screwing pieces together to popping the in and out. also i clean it out with water and qtips regularly.

(i hope this tip applies to the T model)

happy vaping

Hi,and congrats on trying a healthier alternative. Sorry to have to say this you will hate the tank system. It is a brilliant idea on paper but in reality completely sucks. It will leave your tongue feeling a little numb and turns great tasting juice to practically no tasting juice. Good news is you do have the ego batteries so get yourself some XXl dc cartomizers from smoktech. I had an ego t kit which is RIP in our local land fill after 2 weeks use.

You did very well in your choice and welcome to vaping and ECF. The batt will give an all day vape without recharging(unless you have it tied to your lips, lol). I use the same batt, but still use the tanks that go with the kit and never had the problems others here have mentioned in the 8 months of using them. My 1000mah batts still charge and last as long as the first day I've owned them. Might be slightly shorter lasting but really haven't noticed it. My tanks have worked perfectly since I've owned them also. Many here have not had problems with their tank system and some have. You never here from the ppl with no problems with their tank sytems(Ego Ts). The Ego Ts come usually 650mah kits in Type A and 1000mah in Type B unless the vendor sells the kits in a custom way. The problems are probably because they have Joyetechs and shall I say again for everyone that will critique this?...not a knock off. Have fun with the choices that are out there with the 510 treading on the batteries. It will get your pocket book if your not careful. But to each his/her own.
