So it was just your opinion based on no first hand knowledge because you think they look strong?
The question was "Box mod that's built like a tank?" In my opinion the Vaporflask Stout is a box mod that's built like a tank and I posted such. If you disagree say so.

Don't know why you wish to attack the reasoning for my opinion but if you are angling for an online argument you are barking up the wrong tree.

Not really getting Built like a Tank from this. Built extremely well maybe, but there is a difference.

Also on their page - No more Primer puffs? Sorry, the Tank, not the Mod dictates whether there is an e-liquid flow issue:ohmy:
They are not referring to the juice flow. At lower wattages it can take a while for your coil to heat up to your taste (especially spaced coils). Some people compensated by taking primer puffs or even just pressing the button before the atty reaches the mouth. I never liked the latter method because my lips were often hit with hot juice. Anyway, the boost function is one of the most under-rated things in all of vaping, IMO. Although it's probably not needed if you vape high watts since all those extra watts will quickly ramp up your coil. My sweetspot is 25-30W, so for me boost is golden. Basically, I'm comfortable with a 3-4 sec drag, but I prefer the vape quality from a 5-6 second drag...boost solves that for me. And, due the the drop when the boost wears off, it feels like it quickly plateaus instead of sloping upwards. I would not get that instant plateau if I just simple sucked on it for 5-6 sec. Also, I would probably end up with a vape that was too hot for my tastes, so, yea, boost. :vapor:

In my experience the Hana Modz box mods (And their clones) are some of the strongest mods I've ever seen.

I've run over my 30W mod with my car on accident once. 3,400lb car drove right over the mod. Other than a few scratches you can't tell that anything happened to it, and it still works just like it did the day I bought it almost 2 years ago.

I understand Boost - SXM/SXMM both have several settings and they work well.

Primer Puffs specifically were my comment. Primer Puffs By definition are Power OFF draws to Pull additional e-liquid to the coil. A common practice on a Fresh Coil head replacement. This is Specifically Tank related and has nothing to do with Slow/Quick coil heat up. It has to do with proper saturation of the wick before Firing.

Red lined single sentence with opposing applications.
Priming - a Flow action
Early firing - Preheating coil before vaping

*Initially Primer Puffs were to get an Automatic battery to warm a Coil to acceptable usable temperature.............Maybe they are comparing to first cig-a-likes:blink:

Unfortunately it seems many box mods that used to be all aluminum and tough as nails like the Hana mod boxes (including the clone enclosures) and the iPV 35 watt , 50 watt , iPV mini , iPV2X 60 watt and iPV2S 60 watt and iPV III LI have moved to a much less robust and much less durable enclosure type like the iPV 4 and even worse iPV 5 .

Most are a mix of plastic and dirt cheap zinc alloy construction , it's a disgrace imo . Most don't think about these things and buy anyway but these devices are not being made like they used to be , a shame .

Zinc is stronger than aluminum.

The reality is It is Cost effective and the majority do not need - Built like a Tank :)

Own a Sigelei 75W and 150W which are very solid. The following are my choices for next mods b/c things are changing due to FDA rules and rules coming down from State, County and City.

It is no longer logical to have just one means to vape anymore, and it makes sense to have a box mod or two that you can COPY and PRODUCE on your own with little assistance, b/c you may not be able to buy them in the future. Also, some are just beautiful, and well made and make for fine collectibles, which you may like to have 5 to 10 years down the road. I would not buy anything that I would not use, and I would not buy anything that I could not see myself vaping 5yrs from now.

There is nothing wrong with a 25W to 75W mod, except you cannot increase the wattage and they lack certain functions that you may want in the near future, like TC. So you have to have a balance in whatever you buy, and cover all the bases. As far as TC goes, I would stay away from nickel, but I like support for titanium.

SQUARE DEVICES
- Regulated
Sigelei FUCHAI 200W TC (WWW),

- Unregulated
BC Box Mods, I would buy the 26650 (parallel and series) and the 18650 (box capable of switching from parallel to series). These are the boxes that will be your goto devices if the supply gets cut off at any time in the future.

I know what the conventional definition of primer puff is (and some people have a looser definition, btw..any preliminary puff, whatever the reason), I was just pointing out that Provape wasn't referring to that on their web site. They are not making the claim that your mod determines your juice flow, in other words.

The toughest mod that I know of is the Heatvape Invader Mini. While it isn't very boxy, it is very tough. Once a 7ml Subtank leaked out overnight on me. Luckily it was attached to a Invader Mini and it didn't hurt a thing. Just rinse it under the sink and wipe dry and you're good to go. I liked my first one so much, I bought five more. They are the only mods I use nowadays.
