Ok I've seen a few of these and I'm wondering where you get them. Are these custom made? What advantages do they offer? Thanks in advance for any info.

More power and longer lasting. But for me they are to bulky. I like the ego or ego twist for variable voltage. I just carry an extra with me.
I use the basic AA box mod from madvapes. (14500) Like it a lot and under $20. Easy to carry and pocket friendly it seems. Probably just good for cartos, but that's all I use.
I love my Reos. They are bottom feeders so you don;t have to constantly drip and work great. You can find them at Reosmods.com. Best box mods made IMO.
I got one of these coming soon Sigelei T-max VV/VW (Preorder) - 18650 or 18350 Version Brand New And I have a bottom feeding box mod called a VMOD. Theres tons of info on those on the liquid feed forum.

1. Bigger batteries than cig-a-likes. Depending on the battery you use, several hours to a day or more of vaping on one charge
2. Easy and inexpensive to make yourself with parts you can get almost anywhere - except the atomizer/carto connector, but still multiple vendors available for these. And, though it's getting away from the easy factor, you can mill one yourself with a lathe
3. Not bulky at all - for me anyway. My VV box mod lasts several hours and easily fits in the palm of my hand for vaping on the sly.
4. Easy and inexpensive to repair by yourself.
5. Building options available that range from extremely simple to very complex.
6. Allows you to use your creativity for a one-of-a-kind PV or APV
7. Versatility regarding battery sizes and types - from Li-ion, to IMR and even NiMH - I have custom mods of each type
8. And, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck in a vaping device.

Thanks for all of you help everyone! Looks like I may get one as soon as I've saved the money. Right now I'm waiting on a couple of evods and spinner set ups as my first PV. But these look great and I probably would've got one had I known about them first.But thats ok, I'm gonna be happy with what I have for quite a while I think.
Cost me $2.20 to make this mini box two years ago, and I still use it a lot. So there really is a place in the vaping world for box mods.

Are there any vendors that make box mods that use standard type batteries? That would be cool for emergencies

These are "Puck" mods, or Puck-type mods, they use NiMH batteries that are available almost everywhere. I don't know of any vendors that sell Pucks, though there may be some, but they are easy to make yourself. In an emergency-type situation you could use regular or alkaline AAA or AA batteries, depending on which size your particular device was built to accept.

Its a bottom feeder by vapage.com. Its great for on the go. All you gotta do is tilt the device and give the bottle a squeezer. With an 1.5 atty I get great flavor, and with 9ml tank and 18650 battery I can vape all day with a compact device. Vapage does some crazy sales every now and then, I suggest signing up to their newsletter and hop on a 50% off sale or something close.
Kabonk, where can I get parts for the krimsom kustom that you showed earlier in this thread? The one you showed, operates 2 atomizers?
