Boxmod - VariCool Beast Critique

I've had mine for 5 months or so (I forget) and only vape on the device. I just wanted to post some questions and feedback on the product.

1) The battery compartment is very loosely attached, it slides around a bit. Never comes off, but it's a bit irritating.
2) The right battery is impossible to get out unless I use some kind of tool. Currently I've been using the battery cover itself it 'pry' it out. When I used to just use my finger, I could only pop it out from the spring side which ended up breaking it.

I'm curious to know if there are any tricks that other people have found. Or am I misusing the product?

I don't have this product but one trick for getting tight batteries out of something is to lay a short thin ribbon under the batteries when you put them in. (like a sling type of thing in the center of the battery so as not to touch the contacts) Then lift the ribbon up when you need to take the batteries out. As you pull the ribbon it'll pop them out of the slots. Or if you wrap a piece of tape around the battery and leave a tab end on it, you can pull a battery out with that. Some times easier then trying to find something to pry it out.

But like I said, I don't have that boxmod so I can't be for certain much about it. just a suggestion

I've heard some people wrap tape around the battery toward the positive end, leaving a pull tab to make it easier to get them out. The type of battery makes a difference too, with the IMR 14500 button top being shorter and easier to get in and out of the box than the protected Trustfires.
